Hope. Hope is a recurring theme throughout history. Mothers would hope for their sons to return from war, Kings would hope for their soldiers to lead their kingdom to a victory, young girls would hope for a fairytale ending. Hope is what keeps people from falling apart when things seem dark and impossible. And hope is how we will start our story.

~Aziraphale's POV~
Bugger. I watched as everyone was taking at once. Adam was looking from one person to another. Each one trying to win him over to their own side. I badly hoped that the right voices would get into his head.
"Think of the power!" War sneered, her eyes glistening like a lion praying on an innocent zebra.
"You could have anything you ever wanted..." Famine hissed into his ear.
"Adam no!! Don't do it!" His friends pleaded. I turned to Crowley who also was trying his best to convince the boy.
"EVERYBODY SHUT IT!" I barked, and to my utter surprise everyone stopped. I turned to Adam.
"Adam. Don't do this. It isn't worth it. Everything you see know will be gone. Everyone you love will be gone. Everything will change. Their just trying to manipulate yo-" I felt I strong forced shove to my side. The hard concrete met with my body rather quicker than I was prepared for. The wind in my lungs getting knocked out of me. I took small gasps of air, desperately trying to regain my breath.
"Aziraphale!" I heard Crowley gasp seeing him kneel next to me out of the corner of my eye.
"a...da...m" I wheezed, I couldn't let them win him over. Finally after what seem like ages my bloody stupid lungs fill with air. I sit up quickly.
"Angel talk to me, are you alright? I just wanna make sur-"
"Crowley not now." I said a small bit of guilt hitting me for being so blunt.
"Your father would be so pleased..." I could hear one of of the four horsemen spit.
"My father? He doesn't even know I'm here.." I heard Adams innocent voice spring up amongst the venomous voices that echoed throughout the area.
"That isn't your REAL father child." Death's voice rose above the others.
"You are the descendant of Lucifer himself. The devil."
They had revealed a long, long kept secret. All I could do was hope that he'd take it well.
I watched as Adams face went blank. I could tell he was searching for a different answer. He turned toward Crowley and I.
"Tell me it isn't true..." he said just above a whisper.
I glanced at Crowley, he glanced back. Then we both turned back to Adam.
"I-I'm so sorry dear...." I said quietly.
"It's true." Crowley finished, saying what I could not.
I watched as Adams face fell. He stared for a long time. Everyone was silent. The small girl, part of Adams friends walked up to him.
"Adam.....it doesn't matter. He was never there for you. He wasn't part of your life. He isn't your dad..."
"SHUT UP PEPPER!!" He snarled.
Oh heavens....
"I DON'T CARE IF HE WASN'T THERE. AND I DON'T NEED ANY OF YOU."
My last bit of hope shattered. Adam had made his decision. We were all doomed. Adams eyes glowed red, like the red of a stoplight. His dirty sneakers lifted off the ground. He hovered in the air. I turned to Crowley my facial expression pleading for a different outcome. He said nothing, his dark glasses masking the fear held in his eyes. I looked to the sky, the clouds swam into a swirling storm. The sky turning blood red. It was happening. Armageddon had begun.
