More Things Happen

A/N: I'm running out of neat chapter names..... That being said, I hope you've enjoyed the story so far! It's been my labor of love during free time in class, which is why updates have been very sporadic. And yes, I'm aware, it's my first story, and It's probably fallen into the amatuer writer tropes. But honestly, I just wanted to write something and share it with the world, whether it was awful, or flat-out amazing, that all doesn't matter to me. Anyways, I know you're here to see what happens next. So, ON WITH THE STORY!!!!!!!!!!

The three clear off Pyro, Baj, and Millbee's corpses and regroup. Pak spoke up. "You know, if I'm completely honest, I'm surprised I've managed to stay alive this long. Normally I'm among the first to die. And here I am this season, tanking at two kills. With hopefully, more to come!" After a brief pause, he added, "Honestly, I'm just surprised we've gotten these kills thus far. I mean, both teams we've encountered and killed had very strong players on them. Pyro and Baj are very durable when it comes to UHC, and when you killed Pause, Bdubs, I was genuinely shocked." Kurt chimed in, "We have a pretty good chance of winning this season. We just need to keep up this momentum, and hope the more powerful people take each other out." Bdubs added, "yeah, like, if Etho, Doc, and Zisteau find Beef, BTC, and Nebs, hopefully those teams could be dwindled down a little bit. I mean, those are the teams I personally am terrified of finding right now." Pak responded, "We'll just have to see I guess." 

Right as he says that, a series of cannon fires go off. Three shots. 

"There goes another team!" Bdubs says. "Fingers crossed it's one of the teams you mentioned earlier, Bdubs." Pak responds. "We'll find out shortly. The sun's beginning to set." Kurt informs his teammates. They wait a while for the death recap to see who had fallen. As the sun peaks the distant extreme hill biome, the Sky lights up with a glistening blue. 

First face on the Death recap is Sethbling's face. Next to his is Zisteau's face. Next face is Aureylian's, with Etho's next to hers. Finally, MC's face shows up, with Doc's next to it. The blue screen vanished, revealing a completely black night sky. 

"Damn it.... All that's left are us and the two I'm terrified of now..." Bdubs commented to himself. "And Guude." Pak added. "Yeah, and Guude." he responded, trying to ease himself. "Well, we should set up a small base to keep mobs away for the night. Don't wanna die this far in." Kurt told Pak and Bdubs. "I agree." Pak added. "I third that notion." Bdubs raised his hand. They place torches around the general area they were in and build a small shelter to repair their weapons and Armor. 

Time passes, and the sun rises. 

"It's daytime guys. Let's get moving." Pak said to his teammates. They disassembled their night defenses and pick up all their torches. "Okay, our big target for the day is Guude. If we focus on him, hopefully the other two teams will find and hurt each other pretty bad." Bdubs tells his team. "We okay with that?" "I'm fine with it." Pak responds. Kurt says a simple, "Ditto." and the team moves out. They decide to head towards the Extreme hills biome, hoping others would be off in that direction. They climb up the mountain, and when they reach the top, they can see the entire map. A Jungle biome off to the Northeast, a Desert to the South, a Snow biome to the west.  They could not, however, see the other teams or Guude. They were either underground, In the Junlge, or in the Snow biome to the west. "Okay, where to now? Do we go to the Jungle, or the Snow biome? Everyone's in either one or the other." Kurt turns to his teammates. "I say we go to the Snow biome. The jungle terrain is too rugged to fight, and it drains hunger trying to travel through it." Pak responds. "Okay. Are you okay with that Bdubs?" Kurt turns to look at Bdubs, who's attention is on a Pyramid in the desert. "Bdubs?" Kurt taps his shoulder. "Oh! Sorry, Kurt. I just could have sworn I saw a team leave the Pyramid in the desert." Pak turns to look at him as well. "Did you see enough to be able to tell who it was?" He asked. "Chill out man! I ain't got no Eagle Eyes!" Bdubs chuckled as he responded. The three watched the other team from afar, praying none of them turn to the mountain. They watched them so intently, they didn't notice Guude was climbing the mountain from the opposite side. 

For Guude having been on his own half the game, he managed to do alright for himself. He was able to get the diamonds Vechs had, and also the diamonds from Anderz, Arkas, and Avidya. He had a Diamond chestplate, and an enchanted Diamond sword, Sharpness I. The rest of his armor was Iron. If he fought the team One at a time, He'd have a chance. He planned to sneak behind and catch them off-guard. Until one Misstep caused a scuffing sound that caught the team's attention. They each turned around and saw Guude. "ah, hehe... Hey guys. How's it going?" he nervously chuckled. Pak began to draw his sword. "Hold on, Pak! I've got an Idea." Bdubs says suddenly. Bdubs walks up to Guude. "Listen, I know as well as you do that even if you DID kill us, the others woud take you out just like that," He snaps his fingers. "So, here's my proposition to you. You help us kill off the others, and we let you live a little longer. Sound fair?" Guude pauses to think about it. "Hold up, guy. How do I know y'all won't kill me after you're done with me?" He asks. "That's the fun part! You know for a fact that by yourself you can't win this. Literally your only hope is that enough of us are taken out in the crossfire for you to take on. You're at a loss if you don't take this offer." Guude takes a few moments to think about it. "Fine. I'll team with you guys for now." Guude stands up. "So what's the plan?" He asks his temporary allies.

Now there's a twist for ya! If I'm honest, I didn't quite plan on having Guude team up with anyone in the end. I was wanting Guude to be the last one left on his team for the sake of the running Gag, though. I thought that It'd be neat if he gained a couple allies though. That being said, I'm sorry this was such a long chapter. I just got a little into the story there and just kept typing and typing until I finally found a guude(PUNS!) place to pause(MOAR PUNS!). I'm sorry, I'll go now.
