This is set in the beginning of the lost hero

You were having a somewhat boring day at camp halfblood. Well you weren't exactly bored. the stress of losing your big brother was constantly lingering on your mind all day. You had a little hope that day however. Annabeth had a dream vision that she would find what she was looking for at the Grand Canyon. You just had to believe it was Percy.

Annabeth didn't let you go on the mission to the Grand Canyon in fear of losing you too. (She's one of your besties) but that just made you feel useless. Being a daughter of Poseidon could be so frustrating at times. People constantly compared you to Percy. That made you feel even more useless. All day today you could hear people whispering things behind your back.

"I guess (Y/n) is all we have now. Percy was so much better."

"(Y/n) can't do shit. I want Percy back."

Of course these things hurt, but you were used to it so you just ignored them.

Finally after what seemed like hours Annabeth crash landed in the canoe lake. the apollo cabin would not be happy about their flying chariot. Numerous campers including you bounded toward them in hopes of seeing Percy. You used your water control powers to help Annabeth out of the water and dry her off. You looked around to see any sign of Percy but what you saw instead were three teenagers, two boys and one girl. They must have been demigods. A certain one caught your eye though. It was a kind of short curly haired Latino boy with pointy ears. You thought he was absolutely adorable! But you kept that thought to yourself.

"Where's Percy?" You asked loudly, "did you find him Annabeth?" Worry was apparent in your voice.

Annabeth looked at the ground "no I'm sorry (y/n). we found three new halfbloods though!"

"Oh..." you replied sadly.

Just then the symbol of Hepheastus appeared over the cute Latino's head.

(Leo's claimed. People explain what a demigod is. Blah blah blah)

"(Y/n) can you give this son of Hepheastus a tour of the camp. Show him his cabin and the forges." Annabeth requested.

You gladly accepted.

"Hey, I'm Leo Valdez, aka supersized mcshizzle, nice to meet ya" said the new kid

You silently giggled "I'm (y/n)(l/n) daughter of Poseidon. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood."

"Daughter of Poseidon... that scary blonde girl said something about her boyfriend Percy being a son of Poseidon." Leo says.

"That's right. Percy Jackson is my big brother. He's pretty famous around here. Me? Not so much..." you answered.

"But you seem so cool! I bet you're just as good as that Percy kid." Leo tells you.

That made your heart flutter a little. This kid that you barely knew was telling you exactly what you have been wanting to hear your whole life.

You showed Leo around the camp and kind of got to know him. You seemed to really click with him. You hoped you could become great friends with this funny scrawny boy. Maybe even more than friends...
