Leo Valdez x reader oneshots and drabbles

You promised you'd come back (part two)

This is like months after Leo "dies".

You still hadn't  gotten over Leo and it had  been 6 months. All your friends told you to stop looking for him and just give up because he was dead. You just knew he wasn't though. He promised he would come back. You and Harley, Leo's little brother, worked on so many projects trying to get signals to him. Then Apollo came along and got Harley's beacon to work, but you didn't even know Apollo was there or the beacon was working, because you'd spent the last two days searching bunker 9 for any type of clue Leo left.  You hardly ever ate anything anymore. You never really felt hungry. Even Nico ate more than you sometimes. 

Leo's POV:

(Lets just say Leo never met calypso in this)

Leo was dead but then he wasn't dead. He'd been traveling with Festus alone for who knows how long. He lost count of the days. Finally he saw a beacon which had to be made by Harley, he knew his work anywhere. He was so freaking excited to swoop down on camp half blood and just yell sike!! I wasn't dead! Got ya suckers! Then he could see (y/n) again. The only person he had ever missed as bad as he missed her was his mom. Sometimes Leo wished he actually did die, just so he could see his mom in Elysium, he was sure she would be there, unless she chose to start a new life, that's what threw him off.

He was right about the beacon. Soon he could see the valley of camp half blood below him. He breathed in the fruity smell of the strawberry fields. He missed that so much. He missed everything about camp half blood. Especially when (y/n) would laugh during really hard training just to try to feel better only  to make it hurt worse. He missed the way (y/n)'s face would light up when she looked at her food. He missed the way (y/n) would act like she knew something about mechanics but have him show her because "she wanted to see if he knew". He just missed (y/n). He missed her smooth lips, her warm touch, and ocean scent. He couldn't wait to take all that in again.

A crowd started forming below him as he landed. Everyone came running up beyond surprised. Leo saw Harley jumping up and down repeatedly saying he was right. After asking a ton of questions about what happened and where he'd been they started forming a line to punch, kick, or slap Leo for leaving. Leo didn't mind. He kind of thought he deserved it. He was too busy worrying about where (y/n) was anyway. He didn't see her in the crowd or the line.

"Hey Harley! I missed you little bro." Leo winced  as Harley kicked him in the shin. "So where's (y/n)?" He asked.

"I think she went to bunker 9 like a day or two ago. She hardly comes out of her cabin or bunker 9 at all anymore." Harley said.

Leo sighed with relief. At least he knew she was here somewhere.

"I can go get her if you want!" Harley looked ready to do anything for Leo.

"Aw thanks bud, go ahead." Leo messed up his hair before he took another punch in the arm.

Normal/ (y/n)'s POV 

You'd found nothing in bunker 9 but a few abandoned projects, cobwebs, and random things Leo made when he was bored. You knew that was all you were going to find. You had already spent days searching before but you just kept trying. You ended up falling asleep on the random couch that was there. You had the usual nightmares which you had kind of got used too. You were startled awake however when someone jumped on you. You screamed and opened your eyes to see the excited face of Harley staring down at you.

"Oh my gods Harley you almost gave me a heart attack!" You breathed. "What do you need?"

"Someone's at camp I think you should come see." Harley got off of you and pulled you to the exit. "Come on (y/n) hurry up!"

"Harley do I have to? I don't want to talk to anyone. I'd rather just stay here alone." You whined.

"Trust me your gonna want to come." Harley pulled you harder and gave you his irresistible puppy eyes.

"Ugh finneee." You gave in.

Who would be at camp you wanted to see? It was probably just Percy, he'd been gone studying with Annabeth all year so he could go to college in new Rome. You did want to see Percy.

"Who is it Harley? Who's at camp?" You tried to pry the answer out of him for the millionth time.

"I told you it's a surprise!" Harley said as he dragged you through the woods towards camp.

"It isn't like the queen of England right? cause I don't think what I'm wearing would be appropriate." You looked down at your Nike shorts and  your baggy stained (favorite band) t-shirt.

"No (y/n), it's not the queen of England, what you're wearing is fine." Harley was really excited for you to see this mysterious person for some reason.

Finally you made it out of the woods. You saw a big crowd, probably the whole camp (which wasn't much since it was winter) around what was probably the person Harley wanted you to see. You curiously pushed passed people trying to get a look.  Your jaw dropped and you thought you might faint at what you saw. There he was, the person you had been searching for and missing for months. Leo Valdez was standing there just talking to people laughing and smiling his brilliant smile you fell in love with. Tears of happiness started forming in your eyes and all your worries melted away.

"Oh my gods  Leo!!" You tan towards him and jumped into his arms. You didn't care how bad your outfit was or how messy your hair looked. All you cared about was Leo at that moment. You held on to him so tight he probably couldn't breathe. You cried into his shoulder.

"You came back! You actually came back." You mumbled.

"Of course I came back, I promised I would." Leo lifted your head and kissed you. Everybody started cheering.

"Well you're  late." You said as you looked at his face trying to take it all in. (Yes I know that's what calypso said to him hehe).

"Well I died, but then I decided that death would have to wait a while because there was this amazing girl I wanted to live a life with before I died." He said with his adorable smile.

You felt so happy at that moment you couldn't help but keep crying uncontrollably with laughs mixed in. You looked a little crazy.

"You okay?" Leo laughed at you.

"Yes I'm just so so happy. You have no idea how sad I've been since you've left." You said through hiccups.

You hugged Leo and he lifted you up so he was holding you. He carried you around like that all day because you didn't want to let go. You were scared that if you let go he would just disappear. Leo didn't mind since you were really light because you lost a lot of wait from hardly eating the past few months. Chiron let you sit with Leo at the Hepheastus table for dinner. You forgot what it was like to smile and laugh so hard. You and Leo sat alone together at the campfire after everyone left. You snuggled into his chest while he had his arm around you. He kissed your forehead and you two just silently enjoyed each others company. The bliss you felt at that moment actually felt real for once. You weren't dreaming this. Leo Valdez was finally back just like you knew would happen.

Yayy Leo's not dead! I'm gonna be really busy when school starts next week so I'll probably only update this like once or twice a week. I'll try to do more than that if I can tho. Hope you guys have a nice day/night. COMMENT YOUR GODLY PARENT FOR SUGGESTIONS
