Jungkook's POV
"Hey.. are you nervous?" I asked Yuna, as she gazes into my eyes, biting her lip.
"Of course I am, it's my competition, and I'll be the first to be announced." She took a deep inhale.
"You'll do amazing. I know it." I answered with a reassuring smile.
"Thank you Jungkook. I really.. appreciate it." She walks to me and connects her arms behind my back.
Flustered at her action, I reluctantly pat her back.
"Hey, could you tie my hair again? You know you're the only one who can tie it the way I like it." She handed her hair tie as she turns around.
"Ah geez, this again? I'm telling you, I'm not even that good at tying your hair!" I whined as she gave me a face.
"Just do it!" She stuck her tongue out as I sighed with a mix of a chuckle.
Rounding up her strands of hair, I gently stroked and combed it to make it seem neat, and tie her hair. She turns around and faces me with a smile on her face, as I gave her an unsatisfied one.
"What's with the long face? I'm telling you that you're amazing, okay?" She tells me with no hesitation in her voice.
Taken aback, I scratch the back of my head. "..Okay."
She grins seeing my reaction and grabs my hands, making me even more flustered.
"Wish me luck! I'll see you after the show! Don't let your jaw drop this time!" She winked, and before I could speak a word, she rushes off.
I chuckled softly, but Yuna wasn't the only one who was nervous.
I was too.
If there was a chance that I could see Jimin, or even Yuna seeing Jimin, it would be a miracle. I haven't seen his face at all, no traces of him either.
But honestly, I wouldn't know what to tell him if I did see him.
So many things cross my mind that it ends up all jumbled.
Yuna even began to cheer up more, trying to hype up for her competition and I wonder if she was just displaying fake confidence.
Entering inside, I felt a chill breeze running across my skin that made me shiver. I forgot to bring extra layers of clothing again.
I sat down in the seat close to the front just like before, sighing as I rubbed my arms for warmth.
I can't leave Yuna just for extra clothing, and plus, what if I do see Jimin here?
My priority right now is to look for Jimin. If he won't be here, he'll be gone forever.
Aish.. what am I saying? I will see him! I have to.
Laying back against the chair as I saw people slowly filling up the seats, there were still no signs of Jimin. And it feels like my heart is plummeting by the second.
Not only did I want to see Jimin again, I could see that Yuna really wanted him there too. To see her shine. To make him smile again. To reconcile.
With my hopes gone down the drain, the announcer begins to speak.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" The announcer pauses dramatically as the talking within the crowd began to disperse.
"We will start with the one who captured many hearts.."
Well.. the announcer wasn't wrong on that one.
"The one who impeccably glistened on a starry night has come back to become a blazing sun with her fierce yet elegant moves. Here is Choi Yuna!!"
