Depressing Poetry

What it might be

Can't you see this smile I'm faking 

Because if you look close enough you could see I'm shaking

Can you not see my crumbling walls

Or all of my accidental "falls"

You say you know me so well

Than why can't you see I still jump at the bell

You ask me if I'm okay

I'm great I say

You believe my facade 

Can't you see something's odd 

You leave me to deal with my feelings alone 

My self-hatred unknown

Can't you see that I'm always on alert 

Or that I try to cover my hurt

If you care 

And can't bare 

Than why can't you see
