Roses

Rose petals falling

Against the sun rise

The clouds seem to be parting

But it's all lies

Can't I see the sunshine now

Despite the falling petals

I still had a vow

To love you until the day bleeds

Of the colour of the blood red rose

I promised to fill all your needs

But now your gone and alone

I sit here as the petals fall

As you sit upon your throne

My back against the wall

Your presence well known

As the rose slowly dies

I am left with eyes of mist

You seem happy on your bed of lies

But there seems to be a twist

My life is part with the rose

So with every petal that drops

Time seems to slow

So close to when time stops

Because of the glass case

That for you is stone

I watch as you slowly erase

What was left of the rose you had grown

You can not see that the rose is wilted

As the stone seem to impose

Your crown becomes tilted

Because you no longer love your rose
