Hello everyone I'm back with an original story focusing on DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder). It was first called Multiple Personality Disorder but was changed, although they're both similar.
DID is when a person has two or more distinct personalities that are present and take over the individual. There's also some memory losses at such big intervals that it can't just be ordinary forgetfulness like what you ate for lunch yesterday or where you placed your glasses. Each personality has their own history, self-image and identity. Those that have this are often victims of severe abuse.
This is something different and an entirely new territory to me so there is a high chance I might offend people who have this disorder. If there are any of you reading this, please feel free to correct me because I am aware that I might represent you in a negative manner but please be reassured I mean no harm or offense. In fact, I am writing this to make people aware of this disorder and to be more careful of others around us, because it's not everyday we know what's going through their minds.
I stumbled upon the disorder when I watched a YouTube video about a girl telling all about her life with DID in My Story Animated. It was interesting, and I watched about real-life cases and listed down the different personalities.
Of course I'll have to give an overview about each personality I decided for this story so you'll find that in the next chapter. Thanks for reading the intro. Hope you support me and enjoy, learning something new in the process.
Oh, link to where I got most of the info is at https://www.google.com.ph/amp/s/www.psychologytoday.com/us/conditions/dissociative-identity-disorder-multiple-personality-disorder%3famp. It's helpful and for me to make this story more realistic, I did some research though it may not be enough since there are still some things I don't get.
