Eric fell asleep
on the boat again.
It always drifts,
but never this way.
He didn't know

On the shore
sits the girl.
His girl.
“I dreamed about
you,” he says,
and then rubs
the back of his
head sheepishly.
Such a stupid
thing to say.
But how can
she exist?
