The king and queen
are furious.
Ariel's father bans
her from leaving
the castle.
He places guards
all around and
tells the village
to let him know
if they see her.
He breaks the
news about
the curse, saying
it has to be
Evil's doing.
If she even takes
a step towards
any doorway,
ten people are
yelling about it.
Her mother explains
it's only temporary,
but Ariel can fend
for herself.
“Don't you know
I would never
leave the sea?”
“We don't, darling.
Curses are funny
things.”
