Kathlyn was already with her friends after Ethan left her stunned.
"Could you come with me, please?" Wilden appeared out of nowhere and dragged Emily to an empty classroom, the rest of the girls following behind.
"Is that your bag on the table?" Wilden questioned Emily.
"Where did you find it?" Emily asked, surprised.
Wilden let go of Emily's arm, "I should've told you that leaving a bag unattended in a public place is not a very smart move."
"What's going on?" Kathlyn asked Wilden.
"Did you tell your friends where you were last night, when you weren't studying for the test?" Wilden asked the question to Emily.
Emily didn't answer Wilden's question nor move to look at the rest of the girls.
"See, 'cause I got these really interesting photos." Wilden added. Wilden then showed photos of Emily at the memorial, last night.
"And I see you didn't get a chance to clean your shoes either, huh?" Wilden added while looking at Emily's shoes. The rest of the girls also looked down on Emily's shoes and found her shoes really muddy, unusual.
"That's not why I went there." Emily reasoned.
"Really?" Wilden questioned, "You didn't go back to the memorial to finish up Toby's handiwork?"
When Emily didn't answer, Wilden continued, "Or were you just there covering up his tracks?"
Emily hurriedly shook her head left and right, "I found it like that. It was already destroyed."
Wilden raised her eyebrows and then opened Emily's bag, "What were these doing in your bag then? Souvenirs? Or something Toby asked you to keep so he can add it to his trophy collection?"
"This has nothing to do with Toby!" Emily defended.
"Em, why do you have those?" Aria asked.
"You put those in there, you creep." Hanna pointed to Wilden.
"Such a fake, Emily would never do that." Kathlyn added, "The memorial was actually her idea."
Wilden looked at Kathlyn then looked back again to Emily, "Nice cover, huh? Go ahead and tell them about the angry letter that you wrote to Alison which is dated, by the way, three days before she disappeared."
Emily's eyes bulged out, "You had no right to read that!"
"Emily, what is in that letter?" Spencer asked.
"Tell her." Wilden urged Emily, "Tell her how you wanted to punish Alison for rejecting you. Tell her how you felt relieved at the funeral."
"I went back to the memorial to say I was sorry." Emily interrupted Wilden.
"There were horrible things in that letter and I didn't mean them. Suddenly she was gone, and I loved her as more than a friend. I just never had the chance to tell her in the right way." Emily continued.
"Give the letter back to her." Kathlyn said in gritted teeth.
"Give it back to her now, or I swear to God, I will rip your head off!" Hanna exclaimed.
"Sorry, I can't." Wilden told them. "And we're not leaving this room until you tell me what you were doing carting around pieces of Alison's memorial."
"I took them because they were the only things that weren't broken." Emily told Wilden.
Suddenly, the door to the classroom opened and there stood Spencer's mother, Veronica Hastings."What's going on here? Why aren't they in the locker room with the other kids?" Veronica asked.
"Who are you?" Wilden asked Veronica.
Then Veronica stood next to Spencer, "Her mother."
"If this is the school's idea of keeping my child safe, I'm glad I came back." Veronica said, then she saw Emily, "Honey, why is she crying?"
"He accused her of killing Alison." Spencer replied, sternly.
"What?" Veronica asked.
"He went through her purse and now he's accusing Em." Kathlyn explained.
Veronica then faced Wilden, "You are questioning minors without an adult present? What police department do you work for?"
"Ma-am-" Before Wilden could say anything, Veronica interrupted him.
"Let's go. Emily, honey, grab your things."
Once they reached the hallways, Veronica left them to talk to the school admin about the S.A.Ts. After a few moments, an announcement came out of the school's speakers system.
"Can I have your attention? The storm warning has just been lifted, but the SAT will have to be rescheduled."
"I have to look for my mom." Spencer said and then left.
"I also have to go." Kathlyn told her friends. And then she walked to the direction where Alice and Mark are standing together.
"Hey, Kath! I missed you!" Alice hugged Kathlyn.
"I missed you, too." Kathlyn told her friend. And then, she looked at Mark, "Have you seen Ethan?"
Mark shook his head, "I thought you two are together?"
"Apparently, not." Kathlyn sarcastically replied.
"What happened?" Alice inquired.
Kathlyn sighed, she honestly don't know what happened also, "I might have offended him?"
"Offend? Ethan? It takes a lot to offend that man." Mark said, as Ethan's bestfriend he knows Ethan so well.
"I don't know." Kathlyn shrugged, "We were just talking and then I asked him what did he like about Ali, I mean he practically stalked Ali before, so I just-"
"Wrong move." Mark interrupted the brunette. "Ethan never said that it was Ali who he was stalking, and no one from the team talked about that."
"What do you mean?" Kathlyn asked.
"Best to talk to him about that." Mark just dismissed. As much as he want to tell her what it is all about, he cannot. It is not his issue to tell.
