Lovely Little Liar

{ 32. Friend or Foe }

As soon as Kathlyn arrived at Rosewood High, she looked for her friend Aria. She saw the girl at her locker, getting the stuff she need for the day. 

"Hey." Kathlyn greeted her friend, "It was already late when I saw your message. I didn't call you anymore because I thought you were already asleep."

"Ezra's resigning." Aria told the brunette with a heavy heart. 

"What? Why?" Kathlyn frantically asked, although, she kinda has a hunch of why Mr. Fitz is resigning. 

"Noel, or better yet, 'A'." Aria said. 

As if on cue, Ezra Fitz waked out of his classroom, holding his bag close to him. He and Aria stared at each other for a while before he started to walk towards the principal's office. But, before he could reach is destination, a commotion happened near them. 

One of the teachers in Rosewood High, together with a sheriff and Noel Kahn, was standing in front of Noel Kahn's locker. 

Teacher: This is unacceptable Mr. Kahn.  You stole answers to four midterms. 

Noel: I didn't! Somebody set me up, okay?

Teacher: I'm really disappointed in you.

As the sheriff and the teacher drag Noel away and towards the principal's office. Kathlyn and Aria's phone beeped together. 

Right after class, the girls are now at Spencer's house, except Emily, doing homework. 

"'A' really knows how to play this game." Kathlyn blurted. 

"'A' saved my relationship." Aria said.

"Well, 'A' tried to kill me." Hanna countered. 

"Because 'A' thought you saw her." Spencer told Hanna.

"Which you didn't and 'A' clearly knows that now." Kathlyn said while nodding slowly. 

Their conversation about 'A' was cut short when they heard someone opening the door, so Spencer suddenly blurted out Mathematical stuff to mask whatever their real topic is. 

"It's nice to see the posse together again." Melissa told the girls as she entered the room, "'Spencer and I have called a truce." She added when she saw the looks the girls (except Spencer) gave her.

"Good to know. How's your life as a married woman now?" Kathlyn said as she leaned forward the table. 

Melissa shrugged, "It feels like I don't have to try so hard all the time. Like things are settled."

"That's how my mom felt before my dad met Isabelle." Hanna said sarcastically. 

"One thing I don't need to worry about is Ian looking at other women." Melissa told Hanna confidently. And right after that, Ian entered the room and they left. At the same time, Emily entered holding her bag on her shoulder. 

Spencer stood up excitedly from the stool chair and approached Emily, "There is something that I need to show you. In my room." 

"Wait, no. I think she should find it herself." Aria said immediately. Earning agreeing nods from both Hanna and Kathlyn. Emily went upstairs, to Spencer's room and there she saw Maya, lying on the bed with romantic candles surrounding the bed. It was the girls' special gift to Emily. They saw how sad and devastated Emily was when Maya got taken away after Emily's mom found out that Maya do marijuana.

The girls were going through Ian's stuff to look for clues about 'A', but they found nothing. After a few more minutes, Emily and Maya decided to go downstairs, finished with their lovely reunion. Maya had to leave again to go back to True North, a rehabilitation-like place. Once Maya closed the door, Emily faced her friends, "Did you find anything?" 

"Nothing. Nada. Nope. None." Kathlyn sarcastically said. But 'A' suddenly decided to give them a gift, their cellphones altogether beeped. 

"Don't say I never gave you anything. Turn on your computer."

A video was there. A video continuing the earlier video that Agent Cooper showed the girls. 

Alison: If the girls knew I saw seeing you. Oh, my God, they'd never shut up about it. I wish they were more mature, but we don't have a lot of time. I have to get back before they wake up. I know you want to kiss me. 

Alison then walked closer to the camera, the camera view showed the floor then showed someone.
