¿Can I have this dance?

Alright everybody Imma need y'all to find a partner and get all close and comfy with them, because it is time to bring out the gorgeous and talented Ariana Grande to perform her song 'Moonlight'.

'Oh great, yeah tell everyone to pair up. Hello! Have you ever stopped to consider that maybe some people are complete losers when it comes to dating or making friends? Look at everyone gathering around the center of the dance floor, looking all happy and whatnot with their dance partner. Whatever, I can't even slow dance anyway.'

"Excuse me?"

'Not now man, can't you see I'm having a one sided argument with the announcer. Maybe I should be arguing with the planner of this event. Hold on. That would be Ari, I can't argue with her and not because she's thanking the crowd right now.'

"Um, pardon me."

'I moved forward! What does this dude wa- oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck.'

"Hi."

'Am I dreaming or is Lauren Jauregui actually standing in front of me, smiling, and talking to me? No. There must be someone behind me. Why did you turn around?! Dumbass say something!'

"H-Hi." Oh my gods, her eyes are fucking glowing, kill me now. "A-am your way?" Fuck I can't spoke right.

"No, I was actually trying to get your attention. Where are my manners? Hello, I'm Lauren, Lauren Jauregui."

'Uh yeah, I know who you are. Grammy winner, award winning-top of her game, Lauren Jauregui. Dumbass she's waiting for you to introduce yourself too!'

"Camila, Camila Cabello. Basically a nobody." Why the fuck did I just say that? Is she laughing? Nice way to make a fool out of yourself in front of a legend Mila, good job.

Alright, enough thank you words from me. I want y'all to feel like you're dancing on a cloud, your own cloud. Here's Moonlight.

"Can I have this dance?"

"I-I-I don't know h-how to slow dance."  For real I must be dreaming.

Instead of getting a reply, the Lauren Jauregui grabbed my hand and walked to the dance floor. However she didn't stop once we reached the floor, she kept walking and we ended up in the middle of the dance floor.

"Lauren I-"

"Just follow the music, I'll guide you. Here."

She adjusted my hands to go around her neck, her arms coming around my waist and bringing our bodies together. If you could see the color on my cheeks right now, they would be a bright red.

"Don't be shy, I don't bite." Her soft voice whispered besides my ear, a single shiver went down my spine.

Her chin came down to slightly rest on my shoulder, this right here, this right here is a dream come true. How did I end up going from sitting down all evening and catching a glimpse of Lauren Jauregui here and there, to being chest to chest with Lauren Jauregui? I couldn't resist it and let a sigh of content escape my lips. Every word that Ari sang so softly, brought me into another world, and slowly everyone around us started to blur out, let's say they look like clouds now.

"Ya know, I saw you from across the room a while ago, and what enticed me the most to come and talk to you was how beautiful and how entranced you looked as you watched the other couples dancing."

She brought our foreheads together, emerald gems right in front of me, our steady breaths tickled my lips and before I knew it, our lips were having their own dance. Everything and everyone vanished, the only sound was Ariana's voice guiding our cloud straight up with a view of a full moon.

And she calls me moonlight too

"I know you're one of Ariana's backup dancers," Oh no, how could I forget that she might've seen me performing earlier with Ariana? I'm a background dancer, not a main dancer, but regardless I've spent an entire two years with Ariana. "and I'm assuming you saying you don't know how to slow dance was you being nervous because of me."

"I'm an idiot sometimes." Lauren smiled and placed a soft kiss on my forehead.

"I'll take the nerves as a sign that I'm not the only one who is attracted to the other. Either that or you're a shy individual. Then again, you did reciprocate my kiss."

"Y-You like me?" Lauren smiled and pecked my lips, a feeling that I don't want to ever forget.

"Is it not obvious? Can I take you out on a date?"

"Y-You w-wanna take m-me out on a d-date?"

"Yes you dummy, I would be the happiest girl on Earth if you accept."

"I accept." We shared another kiss and danced all night on our own cloud.

"Hold the fuck up. Ariana, are you trying to take credit of setting Camren up together, again?"

"Language Dinah! There's kids here."

"Dude, these are Camren's kids I'm taking care of."

"Okay and?"

"Lauren has the mouth of a sailor, always has, always will. One word is nothing. Besides that, you can't take credit because I was the one who encouraged Lauren to finally get up and ask Camila to dance."

"But it was me who was singing, and me who created the event, and me who also set the mood."

"So mami and mommy danced on a cloud!" A small girl with brown hair and shining green eyes asked.

"I tell them the whole story about how Camren met and that is all they gather from it. Sure, a big white fluffy cloud with the sound of an angel guiding them into love."

"Alright cupid, we gotta get these monkeys to sleep before Camren come home, it's almost midnight. IT'S ALMOST MIDNIGHT FUCK."

"Dinah!"

-Idk where I was going with this. But I started writing it August 23, 2019 at 1am...and ended it at 3:58am pst. I havent read through it to spell check so excuse that!
Let me know what yall think tho, Ive been meaning to get back into writing but I havent found anything in my big old empty ass brain. A shit ton has happened, work, I moved out from my parents house, work, sad goodbyes to ppl I love, work, oh and work, dont forget work. Lmao, anyway!
