Part 37

A large light erupted inside of Shi's hospital room causing both boys to become aware again.

Naruto looked around in slight shock at how Shi was so easily able to take them both into the mind scape.

"Well that we a trip" Shi said causing Naruto to quickly look at him.

His bandages on his eyes were still on while he was crouched over, holding his head.

"Wait didn't your bandages come off back in my mindscape?" Naruto asked curiously.

"Your stupid now. Our spirits got transfered into your mind not our physical body so what ever I achieved in there was only because I did not have any injuries. Out here my body is injured" Shi said causing Naruto to snap what he meant.

"Listen it's getting dark so will you mind if I go for the day. The nurses are probably going to kick me out later since it's over visiting time"Naruto said as he looked down at Shi.

"Yeah no problem. When do you think you will be able to visit again?"

"Honestly I do not know, Kakashi sensei wants to teach me something new tomorrow so I might not be able to make it an-" Shi quickly cut off Naruto by lifting up his hand. He slowly looked at Naruto before giving him a warm smile.

"Don't worry about it you have your own things to do" Shi said while maintaining his smile.

"Thank you Shi. Oh and next time I'll come with some Ramen. I'll sneak it in for you" Naruto said, whispering the last part.

"Sure" Shi said excitedly before his hand got suddenly gripped tightly by Naruto in a firm grasp. "I'll see you soon, my best friend" Naruto said before letting go and walking out leaving a slightly shocked Shi behind.

Before Shi could process what happend, the sound of blood splattering against the floor came through the room.

This happened a few minutes after Naruto left.

"Who is there?" Shi asked to the person who did this. A faint sound of a bell sounded through the room until Shi sensed someone standing right beside him.

Shi quickly moved his hand up to where he thought the man's neck was but all he felt was the grip of a man.

"Your blind but you can still see me...interesting" a familiar voice said.

"What are you doing here?" Shi said as he dropped his hand.

"I am here to warn you. Pain issued a command to more than half of the akatsuki to capture you. Apparently you stole his eye. If you give it back to me I'll might be able to hold them off" Itachi said emotionless.

"Your looking for the rinnegan. I am sorry but it is already implanted into me" Shi said as he pointed to his newly implanted eye.

" W-what did you do to your mangekyou eye?" Itachi asked, desperation was laced in his voice.

"I am sorry but I think as soon as it was taken out, it self destructed." Shi said causing Itachi to sigh loudly.

"It's ok big brother. Once all the mess of Orochimaru and the Akatsuki is sorted out I'll heal your eyes" Shi said causing Itachi to look curiously at his brother, his words were interesting.

"What do you mean?"
"I have the power to bring people back to life thanks to this messed up right eye of mine. So healing an injury should be easy. The only problem is that to do this it takes away alot of Chakra and I mean alot. So the chance of me reaching 0 is highly."

"But why cant you heal me while all this is happening?" Itachi asked in slight confusion.

Shi sighed loudly. "What do you think is pain going to do if he finds out that you were more powerful than you first shown. He will send you on more missions causing you to tire out faster. You see what I mean ?"

"Yes if I get my full power back then I'll be used as a weapon that might ruin you and everyone around you" Itachi said before letting out a faint sigh.

"What do you want me to do about the attacks then?"

"Let them come. I'll be soon back to my full power so the chances of them being able to take me down will be slim to none" Shi said with a smirk on his face.

"Hn, ok ill have to go but be sure i am coming again in a few days"Itachi said before a small smirk formed on his face.

He slowly moved his hand over to Shi before placing his two fingers hard against his forehead leaving a slight redness behind.

"Ow that hurt" Shi said before pulling his head back.

Itachi laughed a little at his brother before saying softly "be safe baby brother. I don't say this as often as a real brother should but...I love you" Itachi said before slowly making his way to the door.

"I love you too big brother" Shi said causing Itachi to stop in his steps for a moment before walking on with a small smile tugging on his lips
