Part 103

After a few hours has passed, the hospital room'd door flung open. "Pervy Sage!" Naruto yelled, immediately running to Jiraiya's bed. "What happened sensei" Naruto asked, kneeling down next to the bed. "Calm down Naruto, I'm fine" Jiraiya said tiredly. 

Naruto looked over the man seeing that the one side of him was flat. The boy patted the bed there and did not feel Jiraiya's arm. "What happened to you?" Naruto asked coldly. "I was on a mission and things turned for the worst. Shi there luckily saved me just in time." Jiraya directed his gaze to Shi who was looking at the two with a bored expression. 

"Oh hay Shi, sorry I did not notice you" The boy said honestly with a slight sweat drop. "Oh no, continue your chit chat. You owe me ramen so i'll just make you loose all your money" Shi said with a mischievous smirk sending shivers down Naruto's spine. "P-please don't" The boy said hesitantly. 

"Well now that you both are here, I have something I need to tell you...You might want to grab a seat, Naruto" Jiraiya said, grabbing both boy's attention. Nauto quickly took a nearby chair and placed it between Shi and Jiraiya. 

"All right, before I trained both of you, I had other students. During the 3rd great ninja war, I took in some children and taught them ninjutsu and there own special jutsu styles. What happened to them after I do not know...Until a few day's ago." 

"What do you mean you do not know what happened to them?" Shi asked with confusion. "Yeah weren't you there sensei?" 

Jiraiya looked down at the bed "I had to go and continue the battle. When I came back, they were gone. I thought they died but I was mistaken. They joined the Akatsuki and the leader is Yahiko by the looks of it. How he got the rinnegan i do not know. This is something i never wanted to happen and I know there next target is you...Naruto" 

The boy's eyes slightly widened. "Why me?" Naruto asked aloud with some shock. "Your a jinchuriki idiot" Shi said with embarrassment for his friend. 

"Oh right" Naruto said, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "There is one more thing I can teach you both. And this is a journey you both have to do on your own. I want you both to learn sage mode." As Jiraiya said this he quickly got the full attention of both Naruto and Shi. "Sage mode?" Naruto and Shi asked simultaneously. 

"It is a special type of chakra which increases a person's excisting abilitys and also does a few more things. For instance the first Hokage used his sage mode and was able to go toe to toe with Madara Uchiha while the man used a perfect Susanoo" 

Shi's eyes widened in disbelief, how is anything strong enough to go up against a susanoo. "Maybe I should not go learn that" Shi said with a sigh causing Naruto and Jiraiya to look at him. "I already have modes i used called configurations. I amplify my body using flames" Shi said falling back in his bed. 

"I would stop using that technique if I was you"  Tsunade said as she entered the room. "Why is that?" 

"well to start off you put your body under intense stress as well as slowly burn your nerves which aren't fire proof like the rest of your body." Tsunade said calmly, closing the door behind her. 

"What do you mean? I have been using this for a while and haven't felt anything change" Shi said with confusion. "Have you seen your right arm recently?" Tsunade asked walking up next to Shi's bed. "No I don't usually take off the bandages and if I do I don't look at my arm" 

"Well look at this" Tsunade slowly took off the bandages around Shi's hand showing the purple blackish skin with burnt parts scattered around. "It has not changed since that day"

"Exactly, by using your flames to power you up. It keeps burning this arm, not giving it time to heal. It's been 3 years and it still has not changed" Tsunade said before wrapping up Shi's arm one again. "But if we go then what will happen to the leaf granny? The akatsuki are going to think we are here and will attack. If we're not here then we can't protect you all." Naruto said standing up from his chair. 

"That is why you both need to go. Naruto you need power to be able to stand up against pain and Shi you are too focused on large scale attacks. By learning sage mode it will allow you to do attacks in small spaces without tiring you out as much. You might have large chakra reserves even in Uchiha standards but you burn through it quickly which is not ideal for a drawn out battle." 

"You both do not have long and I think it would be best for you two to get going as soon as possible." Tsunade said unhooking Shi's empty iv. 

"Wait...how can we go now? we don't have any equipment and also no idea how to get there" Naruto protested still not wanting to leave Konoha behind. 

"Well to answer one question, when i was young i messed up the summoning jutsu and did it in revers taking me to mount myoboku the summoning world for frogs. There is where i learned sage mode. The summoning can explain sage mode better than me since I have not perfected it. As for your equipment, you won't need any. " Jiraiya said with a smirk on his face. 

Suddenly Shi's clone jumped through the window startling everyone in the room. "Hita has been placed safely in her home. She is still asleep and the wound it fully healed" The clone said before poofing away in a cloud of smoke.

 "I guess that is my que to leave" Shi said jumping out the bed and placing his hooking up his sword onto his waist. "Wait your leaving already? No fair that means you'll get a head start" Naruto yelled as he stood in front of Shi. "Can't help if your slow" Shi said teasingly. 

"Remember Shi, your summonings are different from Naruto's so you'll be going somewhere else. And also we do not have much time before the Akatsuki arrive so try not to take too long" Jiraiya said from his bed. 

"Will do sensei, bye Tsu" Shi said before looking at Naruto, starting the reverse sommoning jutsu. "Cya slow poke" Shi said before disappearing in a cloud of smoke.
