Part 23

A couple of days have passed in the hidden leaf. Not much has happened though. Shi has not been seen for 3 days now and Tsunade has not come out of her lab since Shi told her about his sickness. The workload of the Hokage started packing up so Shizune had to step in and maintain it for the time being. 

Kakashi was currently sitting inside of a small shop with Jiraiya. The old sanin decided to come visit today what he did not expect was the tired look on Kakashi's face. "Whats wrong Kakashi?" Jiraiya asked as he sat down on the chair across from Kakashi. 

The poor man looked like he hasn't slept for a few days. "I have to go on a mission" Kakashi said emotionless as he stared up at the sky. "What is wrong with that?"

"It's with Gai" Kakashi said before growing loudly. 

A small snicker came from Jiraiya. "Well atleast you will have company. Say...what will happen to your team then?" 

"Oh Lady Tsunade gave an order before she disappeared into her lab. She said that Yamato has to be there new leader while i have to catch up on a few mission" Kakashi said emotionless while staring at the roof still. 

"Yamato? Who is that?" Jiraiya asked, not knowing anything that is happening right now. "Its a long story....but to sum it all up. Yamato is taking over my team, a new ninja is joining and there going on a mission in a day or so" Kakashi said while still being emotionless. 

"Sounds interesting but tell me why do you look so dead?" 

Kakashi slowly moved his head down to look at Jiraiya dead in the eyes. He slowly moved his hand in front of him and held out 2 fingers. "One ill be going on a mission with Gai. Two...before i can go on that mission, i need to find Shi so he and his squad can go out on there mission" Kakashi said with slight annoyance. 

"If thats all i dont see why i cant help you find him" Jiraiya said causing Kakashi's eye to widen in surprise. "Thank you Thank you Thank you!" Kakashi said while being on his knees. 

"Hold on there why are you so happy?" Jiraiya said, slightly freaked out by this new side of Kakashi. 

"I have been searching for him for the past 3 days" Kakashi said as he slowly got up onto his feet. "Wait three days?!? Where could he honestly be? have you checked the hot-springs? I know he might be there" Jiraiya said while remembering of the first time they ever met. 

"Yeah i have tried the hot springs, the forest where Shi disappears into, his old apartment, the Uchiha outpo-"

"Okokok i get it, you searched everywhere. Have you asked a tracker ninja to help you?" 

Kakashi's eyes widen before he started mentally slapping himself for not thinking of it. 

"Well then its a good thing i am ok with tracking. I am not as good as Shi but i can try and find him" Jiraiya said as he stood up and walked out the restaurant while Kakashi was trailing behind him.

"I can sense his chakra in the far distance. I guess we will be going there" Jiraiya said before jumping up onto a roof, running in the direction of where Shi's chakra was.
