"What are we going to do? If their phones are off, what does that mean?" I'll admit, I was panicking. It wasn't like either of them to turn their phones off, especially both of them. My mind went to the worst-case scenarios in record speed. Dolls had come downstairs to see what the commotion was about. She tried to hide her worry, but we all saw through it.

"We should split up: half of us drive to Addie's house and the other half to Kate's house. Plan to meet back here," Ivelyn suggested. It was a good plan except what if they were on their way here.

"I can stay back in case they get here while you guys are driving," Dolls offered. I mused over this.

"We're running out of time to do the spell, has anyone thought about that?" Erik pointed out. "What if this is the Cursed Ones?" He brought up a point that no one had wanted to make -- I included. Of course, it had crossed my mind that Daniel and his family might be somehow behind this, but I stopped that thought the moment it hit. I wouldn't let myself go there.

"Are you suggesting Daniel and his family have kidnapped Kate and Addie?" Ivelyn scoffed.

"Well yeah, I guess I am. Sorry, Cornelia," it wasn't that he thought Daniel did this that hurt me. It was that he called me Cornelia and could barely look at me. I knew it was because Sage was here and he had to keep her happy. It felt like a gut punch.

"There's no way it's Daniel," I told them flatly.

"How confident are you in that statement?" Ivelyn asked me.

"Extremely. Daniel knows it only takes two Witches to perform the spell. He doesn't know that one of the two has to be Kate. I never told him that." I further explained. It was the truth. I had kept very quiet about the spell and logistics of it all. The Coven had only found out today that it had to be me and Kate.

"Who else would take Addie and Kate, then?" Troy offered.

"We don't even know that they've been taken, we just can't find them." Ivelyn pointed out. She was right, we were jumping to conclusions. Still, the only thing we knew was that they were gone. What else were we supposed to think? It had been an hour since we heard from them. It didn't take an hour to get anywhere in Salem. It was a fairly small town. So what had happened to them?

"Should we call the police?" Mir asked in a small voice. She was standing next to Jack, her hand in his. She must have gotten here while Ivelyn and I were making tea.

"Dolls is the police," speaking of Dolls she had been very quiet. She was the adult in charge, why wasn't she saying anything? I turned to face her. "What should we do?" As I asked, something shifted in her face. Why did she look so scared? Her cheeks were flushed and her eyes darted around. "Dolls?" I said her name again, which seemed to snap her out of whatever it was.

She cleared her throat and pulled her hair into a ponytail.

"Right, okay. How long have their been missing?" She grabbed a notebook from her pack pocket and started writing down notes.

"At least an hour," I informed her.

"And Addison was supposed to pick up Katherine?" It threw me off, hearing their full names. I nodded. "Addison was last seen downtown? Do you know what shops she would go to? I can call the stores and see if anyone saw her or has information." I took a  deep breath in.

"You think Addie was kidnapped downtown?" Erik's voice took worried to the next level. Sage took his hand in hers, attempting to comfort him. I pretended not to notice.

"We can't rule it out," Dolls replied on autopilot.

"Then, where is Kate? If Addie went missing when she was downtown, then what happened--
