Chapter 10: One Last Time (I had to I'm sorry)

(IT TOOK ME- 30 FUCKING MINUTES TO FIND THIS GODDAMN PICTURE BECAUSE MY COMPUTER DECIDED TO BE AN ASS AND NOT WORK- what a great way to start the final chapter :') but oh well, welcome to the finale of  "One Magical Trip")

~Mullete (Herc's P.O.V)~

Animal Kingdom was a complete win, and the perfect way to close out our last day.... except... I still had a ring with me. I will admit as the day slowly grew into night I got more and more anxious of the coming moment, but at the same time, I knew everything would be okay

The day had actually been super chill, so there was no worry of Laf wanting to go back early, since he was in fact normally the first to end the day, despite having never been to the park before. Tonight though, he seemed very adamant about staying in the park during the night. 

"I keep on hearing people say that the tree is so beautiful at night, can we go see it mon amour?" Laf asked as we walked around the park, coming back out of the Pandora section. I smiled at him "I think it's a wonderful idea" I said then turned to the other guys who were a couple steps behind us

"Yo Alex, John, what do you say about hitting the tree one last time before we head in for the night?" I called over my shoulder. "Sounds good" John said "Y'know, I may be falling asleep where I'm standing, but I'm ok with it" Alex said and I rolled my eyes

"You sure you don't wanna go back and sleep Lexi?" John asked and Laf quickly jumped in "It will be quick mon ami, I promise" he said and Alex nodded "Ok, like I said before I'm cool with it" Alex said with a shrug

Laf seemed to relax after that which added onto my quickly growing confusion. Why did Laf wanna go to the tree so badly? Did he know I was gonna propose there? Did Alex tell, it was probably Alex. I sighed "Quick bathroom break though, it'll be a long bus ride back after this" I suggested and we all split up

~Mullete (Laf's P.O.V)~

I'd just barely saved it. If Alex had gone back early, he would've taken John, and then John would've taken us all back, and I couldn't have that happening if I planned on proposing to Herc at his favorite place in the park (I literally got this idea while writing this- who cares if it messes up the rest of the story, I lost interest in this one so I can do whatever the hell I want for this finale- sorry if it messed up your reading experience, I probably won't do something like this again)

I got out quickly and pulled aside whoever came out next, who happened to be Alex "Alex mon ami... I have a question.." I said and Alex looked at me "Go ahead man, what's up?" he asked. "You see... I was planning on-" I started but he cut me off "You're proposing to Herc in front of the Tree of Life" he said and I stood there, my mouth agape in shock "How-" I started but was once again cut off "I have my ways" Alex said and went back to the rest of the group which had come out while we, or rather, Alex was talking

That was odd though... how could Alex had known what I was planning on doing.. was it that obvious? And if it was did Herc know? Was my plan ruined? I sighed and joined everyone else after Alex 

"All good love?" Herc asked, wrapping his arm casually around me as he so often did. I smiled softly and nodded "Everything is perfect mon amour" I said and soon we continued walking. As we walked Herc and I were mostly silent, though I could hear Alex and John whispering in the back. Were they talking about us? Did Alex tell? He probably did... oh well, I needed to stop asking all these questions and just... go for it
