"LOKI!" Val screamed, panicked.

"Medic please! I need a Medic!" Thor hollard at the people of Asgard.

Within a matter of seconds, the palace medics were busy trying to pry Loki from Val's grasp, so that they could lie him on a stretcher. They were running quick tests but Val would hardly let them touch Loki.

"Your Highness, please! If you want him to make it, you have to let go!" One of the Medics exclaimed.

Thor was finally able to pull Val off enough for the medics to place Loki on the stretcher. When they started wheeling him towards the palace, Thor and Val quickly rushed after them.

When they ran through the front doorway trying to reach the hospital wing, another medic screeched at her peers, "HE'S NOT BREATHING!" And they ran faster.

Val felt tears start to fall down her face again, but these were tears of fear. Fear that the man that she loved, that had been said to be dead for the past 5 years, who had returned minutes ago, would die at this moment... for real this time. The medics ran Loki through the hospital door and into an operating room. Val started to run in after them, but she was stopped immediately.

"I am sorry, your majesty, but you cannot go in there." One of the medics said scrambling to push Val away from the doorway.

"But-" Val started.

"Val please." Thor said in a shaky but calm voice.

Thor slowly tried to drag Val away from the door. However, Val still violently struggled against him.

"Please. Let's just go to the waiting room." Thor said.

Thor was finally able to pull Val away with that idea. When they walked into the waiting room Val slumped into one of the chairs and broke down in sobs.

"Val..." Thor started, placing his hand on her shoulder as he took a seat next to her.

Val swatted him away and started shaking as tears rolled out of her eyes. Val cried for the next hour and a half, the doctors never came out. All she could hear was muffled yelling and the sound of machinery. Then finally one of the doctors came out. Both Val and Thor stood up abruptly, approaching the doctor quickly.

"How is he?! Is he alive?! Can we see him?!" Both Thor and Val asked quickly.

The doctor held his hand up to silence him, "We don't know anything. We don't know what is wrong with him, we don't know when or if he will be stable. We don't even know if he will make it. I am sorry. All I have to say is that when I get information, I will let you know as soon as possible. " And with that, the doctor briskly walked back into the operation room.

Val shook her head in anger and walked into the corner of the room. She felt like she couldn't breath and she buried her head in her hands. She slumped down against the wall slightly trying to hold back tears. She stood there like that, in the corner for what felt like a week, but it was most likely more like another three hours. By the time the doctor walked out again it was 1:25 In the afternoon.

"Your highness?" The doctor asked. Val looked up. "I am sorry for the wait. I have an update on Loki... your majesty...it does not look good..." The doctor trailed off.

"What?! What happened to him?! Can I PLEASE see him?!" Val practically screamed.

"Your majesty, Loki's health condition is unknown but he is currently in a coma. And we do not know when or if he will wake up." The doctor said reluctantly. Val started to hyperventilate, breathing heavily, and trying not to cry. "However," the doctor continued, "You may go see him now."
