Val ran down the hall to her room, pushing past everyone and everything in her path. When she reached her room she slammed the door, sinking against, crying into her knees. She curled up into a ball there and cried there for who knows how long. All she knew was when her tears finally dried, it was dark out.

Meanwhile Loki had collapsed in his bed feeling tears prickle in his eyes. However his pity party was quickly interrupted by Thor walking through the door.

"Loki thank the gods your alive! I just saw Valkyrie running down the hall in tears and I feared the worst. However now that I see that you are alright, do you know why she was-" But Thor cut himself off at the sight of seeing his brother so broken. "Brother? What's wrong? What happened?" Thor said, his voice thick with worry.

"I was going to ask her... but now I never can... because I am too much of a screw up..." Loki whispered letting the tears fall.

Thor connected the dots and made a brief summery in his mind what must have happened. Thor then pulled up a chair next to his brothers bed.

"Brother, you still might have a chance to fix this," Thor said comfortingly as Loki gave him a confused glance. "The people and I want to throw a party for your return when your heath has improved. Maybe... just maybe you can fix this whole mess in that one night." Thor said calmly.

Loki was confused but nodded for Thor to continue and with that the 2 of them conducted a plan.

It had been a month since Val had walked away from Loki, and she still felt guilt about it. So she thought it may help if she came to Loki's return party tonight, to smooth over the ending of her romantic relationship with Loki. It broke her heart but she couldn't go on like this. So Val combed out her long brown hair, put on her favorite dark blue ball gown and did some natural make up. She put on her best fake smile and walked out of her bedroom. She headed towards the ballroom, meeting up with Thor who escorted her the rest of the way. When she entered the New Asgard ballroom, she was shocked at the look of the place. It was gold, just like the original Asgard ballroom. Huge windows, with shimmering curtains. A table as long as the eye could see, filled with treys of lovely of food. People dressed in gowns of silk and jewels made of diamonds. It was all so over whelming to Val, especially when Thor left her alone to flirt with a group of women. Everything made her feel dizzy, and the music was so loud. Spotting a balcony on the other side of the room, Val pushed her way through the crowd trying to get to the balcony before she passed out. Once she got to the other side of the room, she burst through the the glass doors and into the cool, fresh air. Breathing deeply Val calmed herself down. Then right before she was about to turn around face the party once more, she heard a velvety voice from behind her say:

"Beautiful as always, my love."
