Chapter One(1)

A gun shot heard in the air,Scarlet wakes up in shock and curiosity,She went out her room to see Bill holding a gun in his right hand and her father on the floor.
Leah and Paige ran out immediately and is completely taken aback.Leah asked no questions She took the gun from Bill and placed it on Scarlet's hand.....Scarlet looked up to her stepmother trying to understand her intention as Chris walks in to see his brother dead on the floor and his body soaked in blood,he was speechless.
"Why are you all standing doing nothing???..who did this?? Scarlet why are you holding the gun?!!!What did you do??,...For God sake why am I getting no answer??!!!".He asked on top of his shaking voice,as his eyes turned from grey to red.
Bill ran out immediately scared of his own actions,there was guilt in his heart but for some reason he had to save himself.
(Crying)"why would you kill your father with a gun?,did you think this is a toy?!!...Leah asked slapping Scarlet making her fall to the floor as Scarlet got stained by her father's blood.Words suddenly seemed so hard to pronounce and her confidence was all lost.
"Bu..but..b..I did nothing mom...I did nothing"She said finding words,tears just couldn't stop rolling down her cheeks.
"You did nothing???,you killed your father and you say you did nothing,how about I call the police and let's see if you realize your mistake".
"You had better stop this drama Leah how dare you call Scarlet a murderer,you and I know who did this for God sake Scarlet is just 16,how do you expect me to believe she killed Jay when your son Bill had blood in his hands".
"But...b........."
"Save me the story Leah ,If you call the police now you might also get arrested with your son".Chris said as he called the ambulance.
BILLS'S ROOM
(LEAH walks in angrily to see Bill crying)
"You fool why did you kill Jay and let me get insulted"
"You deserved it mom, trying to save me like that uncle already knows am the one"
"That's the more reason I am demanding an answer from you...why did you kill Jay??"
"Mom he was cheating on you and he killed his mistress who was pregnant,not just that mom I found out about his drug business and when i confronted him he felt no remorse"
"You didn't know?,common I already know this but that is not an excuse"
"Mom will I be arrested??? I don't want to be jailed mom"(he says as he ears the police siren)
  "You should have thought about that before putting a bullet
In your father..(to the police) Arrest him"Chris says as the police took him away.
       (Chris saw Scarlet in shock crying uncontrollably,he counted down the stairs and consoled her).
          Eleven Years Later

Scarlet flung herself on her office chair as she clicks on her desktop a message pops up:
        "Happy Birthday princess same place tonight"
   "Someone remembers my  birthday"(suddenly her cellphone rings)
        "Hey Scarlet come see me am in the coffee shop opposite your company"
    "What??!..not in your condition Jane I have never  delivered a baby,I will be there in a jiffy"
          (At the coffee shop)
   "Happy birthday Scarlet, have your sit"Jane says.
     "Thanks Jane you remembered my birthday"
       "Hey,what about Carl don't tell me he forgot"
   "He has never forgotten my birthday in fact he was the first to wish me"
    "Yeah and I can get why you are not so happy about it"
     "Tell me"
    "You are twenty seven(27) and you still haven't found your Mr. Right"
        "Am not searching for a Mr.Right Jane,but a husband,I had too many  Mr.Rights in my past even that fool that calls himself a store manager"
         "You mean Jake??... don't even talk about him.But for some reason I think you and Carl is a match made in heaven"
    "Save me the story Jane,I can't even imagine my life with such an introvert besides we are just friends.....(Jane cuts in)"
      "For God sake you guys have being friends for twenty years"
       "Alright you win,.... don't drink that coffee,you are pregnan remember???.............., what is it Jane???"she asked terrified.
      " (Gasping for air) The baby is coming"
      "What???😥😥😥😥😥......??? Oh!!my car, come let's go to the hospital"she says as they soon got to the hospital it was already 6:30 and Scarlet was still in the hospital she had to stay beside Jane, her husband was on a business trip.
