"Run, run faster away they'll catch us" Katarina shouted as they ran past the roads and streets to reach the safe house, too much had happened today. Their hearts were beating, pure adrenaline ran in their blood, it was a run for their life, Nicholas's men never came with good intentions

On the intersection of the alley, as they held hands while turning left to reach the safe house, Ava slipped, and her foot got caught in the broken road,

"Damn it, I am stuck" she cried

"Shit shit, they're coming, get it out faster, Ava"

"Do something, pull me, it can't get out' Katarina kneeled and grasped her legs and tried to pull out but their attempts were clumsy and useless

"Push it ---harder, harder; her breaths fluctuated, and her sentences broke "I can't ----stuck –they're go---us ---run--- leave me"

Katarina struggled to get her foot out "I am not leaving you alone, we're gonna get outta this", but they couldn't get out. Shadows of men loomed over them in minutes,

"Look at what we have here" Nicholas cackled "You can't keep on running forever, we had to catch you sometime, and tonight just happens to be that lucky time"

"What do you want knuckle-head" Katarina hissed "Haven't you already taken away everything I loved". Ava's foot was stuck badly, no amount of strength could get it out

"Oh no dear Katarina Vanaga," he advanced towards Ava, sensing his movement, Katarina moved to strike his face, but before her hands could reach, his men held them, he gestured to his men on the left, and they restrained Ava, the sudden pulling seemed to unstuck Ava's foot, they tied her hands behind her back and held her upper body so she couldn't move

"Katarina, you still have your sister don't you" he said while maintaining his eye contact with Ava

Katarina struggled to break free from his men "leave her alone, or ---"

'Or else what, what will you do' he laughed 'you love your sister very much, don't you?'

"Stay away from Ava" she shrieked keeping tears welled up inside her eyes, she wasn't going to break down and let him see her cry

General gently touched Ava's cheeks and caressed them "I did not take everything you love" he stroked Ava's hair strands that had let loose "but I will"

"No---" her voice started shaking now "Please I'll do anything"

He brushed Ava's hair and turned to meet Katarina's eyes "anything you say?"

"Yes, just leave her alone"

He grinned, "well, there is something I'd like you to do" Katarina's heart rate fastened

"What is it'

"Bring me the Vanaga stone"

"I don't know where it is"

"Stop lying"

He let his head up and laughed, "You can't fool me dear; I know you know where it is, bring me that stone, and till then, I'll keep your sister. Sounds like a fair deal"

"No" she cried out "I'll bring the stone, just let Ava go"

He raised his eyebrows to mock her vulnerability

"Please" her pleads and desperation could be heard, she couldn't bear to lose Ava. She was all she had left

He checked his watch and sighed eyebrows "It's 9pm already and I am starving so adieu miss Vanaga, get me the stone, and don't worry I'll take good care of your sister.'' He snapped his fingers and the Nether portal appeared beside, "I hope you like bacon" he said to Ava before vanishing in the purple light
