His soft lips stretched into a smile but didn't quite reach his hazel eyes. They were lit with sadness; I would have caressed his cheek in an attempt to lighten if it didn't make my heart feel heavy. I stared at him, almost sure his expression mirrored mine. It broke my heart; he was leaving and I am watching it happen again. Every day he turns more into a random image that floats in the pool of my memory. I didn't want him to be the smile that squeezed my chest sometime somewhere far away.

'I love you Kalypso and you too little Kat' he touched my stomach, closed his eyes and stepped into the pentagram with the stone in his hands, he looked back one last time, enough for me to steal one last glance at his eyes. Even as he walked to his death, he looked peaceful, fearless and they were one of the things I admire about him.
