It had been a week since the river.

Wren and Bellamy had been in a weird place, just kind of flirting with each other when they could.

But other than those little flirty comments, they continued to hate each other. Although these days they were both left questioning if they actually hated each other or not.

Outside of their relationship, things had been going well. The wall was build and there was a sense of order around the place.

However that was only because Grounders had killed Wells which wasn't so swell. But despite that, Jasper had continued to improve and for the most part Wren got to hang out with Monty all day, working on the wristbands.

Speaking of which, they'd gotten a new volunteer to take their's off, and it was Clarke.

"Yes! I did it. It's still operational." Monty grinned as he finally got it off.

"Hey! We." Wren corrected.

"Right, we." Monty nodded, rolling his eyes in a joking manner. Wren fake scoffed in response.

Monty went right back to work, ordering Wren around like always. Wren let it slide because the boy was better at understanding how to communicate with them. Wren had only helped make sure they had information to communicate.

"...my mother thinking i'm dead is only temporary." Clarke's voice floated over as she talked to Finn at the entrance.

"Not if I can't patch it through the drop-ship mainframe." Monty replied.

"Uh, but we can do that, right Monty?" Wren tried to reassure Clarke as she watched her face drop at Monty's words.

"Yeah, I can do it." Monty reassured her once he turned and saw Clarke's expression for himself.

"We. Monty, we. You damn engineers." Wren muttered. "We'll be taking to the Ark by nightfall." Wren promised Clarke.

"Wren can you go get the wrench? Someone took it to fasten some metal to the wall, C section I think." Monty asked.

"My baby, I'm coming!" Wren called out to her favorite tool, hurrying out.

On her way there, a series of unfortunate events occurred. A boy who had been carrying a log car too heavy for him dropped it, collapsing to the ground with a grunt. Unknowing to the boy, he'd managed to drop it right in front of Wren and she had no time to react, managing to ungraciously stumble over it and fall to the ground, hardly catching herself with her hands.

Wren rolled and let out a groan, looking up at the sky and cursing her stupid clumsiness as she examined her now slightly torn up hands.

"I'm sorry." The boy, who she recognized to be named Conner, apologized as he held out a hand to help her up.

"It's fine, I would've found something else to trip on without you." Wren joked, shooting him a reassuring smile as she brushed the dirt off her clothes.

"Hey!" Murphy called loudly and the two turned to see Murphy leaving Bellamy's side and striding over. Bellamy's eyes met Wren's and she could easily read the annoyed look he held in his.

What Wren didn't know was that Bellamy had pushed for Murphy to say something when he saw the way Conner looked Wren over.

When Bellamy and Wren's eyes locked, he swiftly looked away and surveyed the area, as if pretending he'd never even noticed her in the first place. They both knew Wren didn't buy it.

"You think the Grounders are just gonna sit around and wait for us to finish the wall?" Murphy asked sassily. "Maybe we should let the little girl do the lifting for you, huh? Or Charlotte."
