Wren woke up with a small sigh. Her eyes fluttered open as everything came rushing back.
For a moment, Wren was overcome with panic, guilt, and what could only be described as self-hatred. All she could think about was that Noah hadn't even been dead a week.
But then a small part of her brain cut out the irrelevant information in that sentence. Noah was dead.
Wren also realized that she... didn't fully regret it, and that was her real reason of guilt. But at the same time, she very much did regret it.
Wren pushed all her conflicting thoughts about the boy she was using as a pillow away and moved off of him, finding her clothes and slowly putting them back on.
As she did so she felt Bellamy's eyes on her and concluded he was awake.
"We doing that again some time?" Bellamy asked as he sat up, moving to get dressed again.
"Depends on if I get to get high again." Wren shrugged as she stood up, making sure he had no idea what was really going on in her head right now.
"Atom would love to help you get whatever you need." Bellamy said with a joking grin as he stood up, tucking his gun into his waistband.
"Cute."
"My shirt?" He held out his hand, noticing how Wren currently held it in hers.
"I like you better without it." Wren shrugged before throwing it on. "Actually, I think I just like you better without the guards jacket, but i'm not complaining about this either." Wren corrected herself as she looked his body over.
He let out a little chuckle.
"Cute." He replied. "But give it back."
Wren didn't comply, instead shooting him a cheeky little smile before making her way down the ladder.
"You're gonna regret that." Bellamy announced as he landed on the first floor, looking at Wren who stood in the middle of the room, closer to the exit.
"Am I?" Wren taunted, spinning around with a grin.
"We share based on need, just like back home." A boy's voice filtered into the dropship from outside, apparently ending their conversation as Bellamy's attention shifted. It appeared Bellamy knew the voice well as he hurried forward, beating Wren outside.
"You still don't get it, do you, Chancellor?" Bellamy called as he walked out. Wren didn't quite know what was going on but as she walked out she at least knew who Bellamy was talking to. It was Wells.
"Wren?" Wells asked in surprise and obvious confusion. Wren smiled. Wells and her were friends of sorts. Wren might have been a genius when it came to mechanical stuff, but she sucked at spelling. She was so bad in fact she'd been in the class below her, which she shared with Wells.
No one wanted to be partners with either of them so they always were. While they never really talked outside that one class, they'd remained friendly.
"Hey, Wells." Wren smiled at the boy and moved to go hug him, but as she passed Bellamy, he caught her arm and pulled her back into his body.
