Wren let out a shaky gasp as the ship jolted, the turbulance violently throwing her against the other side of the small compartment.

A true cry however left her lips the moment her body made contact with the burning hot metal. Wren shot back, trying to shimmy away from that one wall.

But once she was a safe distance away and the pain in her arm had receded, she realized how bad that was.

Worse case scenario's crashed through her head and her breathing became more and more labored with each new idea. She didn't want to melt in this little box, she really didn't.

Wren almost wished she'd stuck around to get floated. At least being floated was painless and quick.

But she wasn't on the Ark, and she likely was about to melt into nothing as smoke poured into the small compartment. It really wasn't much but it seemed thick enough to choke up all the air around her and make her chest tighten.

She started feeling dizzy as it circled in her lungs. Wren's arms shot out to the cooler walls and tried to center herself. She didn't like how disorientating it was to be in total darkness and feeling so panicked.

But it didn't really help as Wren continued to freak out. She wanted to scream, to bang on the door for someone to let her out. But she knew Sinclair would've made it impossible while they were in orbit.

Remembering that she couldn't escape when the engine next to her melted the skin off her bones send the girl over the edge as her eyes rolled into the back of her head and her sweat mixed with her tears.

Then she faded away from it all.

~~~
Wren woke up with a gasp, bringing her head crashing up into metal. She let out a cry and dropped her head back down, her hands going to the bloody dent it left in her forehead.
After taking a moment to collect herself, she recalled the events that led her here.
She remembered hiding in the vent.
Watching Noah get arrested.
Coming up with the plan to save him.
Changing the codes.
Getting arrested.
Making the deal.
Watching Noah get floated anyway.
Working on the wristbands.
Sinclair rushing in, quickly explaining they were going to float her regardless.
Sinclair shoving her into the hidden compartment he'd made.
Being shipped off to earth.
Earth.
That cleared her head up real fast.
Wren groaned and reached around in the dark until she found the string and pulled. The latch creaked open and she scrambled to crawl out.
Once the young woman was officially out of the hell hole she turned and shot it a glare before closing it back up.
Wren only then turned and surveyed the room, finding a guard who was standing in the middle of the room, his body temporarily frozen in shock, staring at the soot covered girl who'd just crawled out of the wall.
His mouth suddenly opened to say something but before he could Wren sprung into action.
Wren grabbed the shock lash Sinclair had given her and whipped it out, driving it into the man's gut and sending him spasming to the ground.
