Dibs' Perspective. It's now come to my attention that by making Zim feel worshipped and important, he tends to be very willing to do more selfless things. Something wise to take note of for the future.
He finished up doing something to the control panel of his ship and immediately afterwards, didn't hesitate to redesign his base to include an extra room for me. Zim had asked if there was anything more specific I wanted in there, and it surprised me that giving him such confidence made him so much kinder that I couldn't really give a clear answer. However, I did explain what would have been nice to have but that it wasn't all necessary.
He took me to the new room once it was done, which apparently took merely seconds, and was surprisingly just around the corner from the living room where the closet by the front door used to be.
Taking a look around one we entered the doorway, I'm surprised to see that there was already a bed inside.
"Amazing, right? Irken tech must still be hard for your human brain to wrap around~" He boasts, having a proud smirk on his face.
I just walk into the room, speechless. There were some things that were in my real bedroom that were here. A few posters, my desk, and the bedsheets even matched the ones back home.
"How..."
"Oh. Zim might have actually paid some attention to the design of your quarters.." He snickered quietly, clearly amused that I was left in amazement.
"Still.. this is.. very thoughtful of you, Zim. Thank you.." I place my journal and computer on the desk, my smile refusing to go away.
Zim watches me from the doorway. He steps into the room after a moment, looking around at what he has created. "Blegh.. not my taste, but it's the least Zim can do."
"All hail Zim.." I mutter nonchalantly in reference to our conversation from earlier while walking over to the bed now, sitting down and immediately sighing in contentment. Now laying on my back, I close my eyes, feeling immediately relaxed.
I knew Zim was staring at me, vaguely feeling his eyes locked onto my very soul. Choosing to ignore this, a few minutes of silence pass until I hear his footsteps start to fade out of the room.
"We will continue our work tomorrow, after.. school. Have a.. decent, sleep cycle."
"Mhm.."
Not even moments later, I finally fall asleep.

The next morning rolls around very quickly, but it felt like the first night in possibly months, maybe even years, that I slept soundly.
After we both take care of our own personal routines (with me mostly asking Zim to get me hygienic items and actual edible food), we trudge to school together from his base; Each of us a little uneager for the long day ahead.
We talk way too much in Mr. Sweets' class, mostly bickering in a playful manner as usual. The teacher has threatened to separate us numerous times but hasn't followed through with it, thankfully. It seems the rest of our classmates have noticed the change in our behavior toward each other but all of them refuse to bring it up to us. I've noticed whispers and gestures to Zim and I, but that's normal anyways.
At lunch, we sit together to discuss the plan for when we leave to face the Tallest, that was now real. Zim does most of the talking while I take notes in my journal. As the conversation continues, he's become more aware of when I start to get uncomfortable with certain subjects and would shift what specifically we would talk about.
