shane gray, was standing there before summer's eyes and she couldn't believe it.
"shane." summer said, shocked.
"summer what the hell are you doing here?" shane asked, scooping her up in a hug.
"my momager had me exiled." summer revealed causing shane to laugh..
"what did you do?" shane questioned.
"i'd tell you but then i'd have to kill you." summer giggled.
"so how'd you get sentenced here gray? aren't you and your brothers like golden boys." summer teased.
"our label just thought it would be good press for our album, and uncle brown needed instructors." shane disclosed.
"tell the truth shane gray, you're still in love with me. you came here to try to win my heart, at the very first place we met. talk about persistence." summer laughed, causing shane to playfully shove her.
"oh shut it." shane laughed.
then the cabin door swung open.
"shane come on the open mic is starting soon." the person yelled.
summer and shane turned their heads to see nate gray.
"summer." nate said, shocked.
"hey." she smiled.
"h-hi how are you? wow i didn't know you were coming." nate stuttered out.
twelve year old nate was screaming inside. his preteen crush & first kiss was standing before him. hotter & hotter than ever.
"we should get going to the open mic, you coming summer?" shane asked saving his brother from any further humiliation.
"yeah let's go." she said strutting out the door with shane and a drooling nate behind her.
summer and the boys walked into the cabin for open mic & jaws simultaneously dropped all around the room. summer & the brothers headed over to tess who was standing with peggy & ella. summer greeted all the girls and then she was approached by not one but two familiar faces. mitchie and caitlyn.
"hey i didn't think you were coming." mitchie said surprised.
"changed my mind i guess." summer replied.
before summer could blink caitlyn began to attack her, the girls used to be close as kids. but when summer joined forces with tess, she left caitlyn behind.
"summer hill, does tmz know you're here." caitlyn laughed.
"that was cute caitlyn, want an autograph." summer hissed causing caitlyn to walk off.
"thank god someone scared that freak off ." tess joked causing the girls to burst into a fit of laughter.
"hi, i'm mitchie torres." mitchie blurted out to the group of girls.
"this is my roommate." summer pointed out to the girls.
"hey is your dad nicky torres the composer?" peggy asked.
"my dad staged one of his shows." peggy added.
"no." mitchie answered.
"so what does he do?" ella asked.
"he owns a hardware store." mitchie answered, causing the girls to begin to walk away.
"but my mom is the president of hot tunes tv, in china. yeah, it's a huge market over there." mitchie lied.
"wow cool." summer exclaimed.
"so cool." tess agreed.
"i think we're gonna be great friends." summer said smiling at mitchie.
"opening jam will now begin and our first performance is gonna be from connect 3." brown announced followed by applause and screams from teenage girls.

summer watched the performance in shock at how good her childhood friends had gotten & in awe of how good looking nathan gray now was. the boys ran off the stage, smiling. summer couldn't help being jealous of them. she wished that after singing her heart out, she could just take a moment to feel the happiness of being on stage.
"so what'd you think of the song." nate said, snapping summer out of her thoughts.
"it was really good." summer smiled.
"hey do you wanna like um hangout later, catch up maybe." nate said, scratching the back of his head nervously.
