"chapter 4- crashing down"

summer woke up to find her cabin completely empty. she was confused why mitchie wasn't in her bed, but she shook it off. summer got up, threw on some clothes and strutted over to the dining hall.

she pushed the door open & soon the room was filled with shrieks and gasps

she pushed the door open & soon the room was filled with shrieks and gasps.

she grabbed a water bottle and felt a hand on her shoulder. she turned around to face whoever had touched her, and to her surprise & dismay it was nate gray.

"hey i'm sorry. i didn't mean to upset you like that last night." he said scratching the back of his head.

"it's clear what you think of me nate, so just do me a favor and stay the hell out of my way this summer." summer said pushing past him and walking over to the table her group of friends was sitting at.

"what was that all about?" tess asked referring to summers hostile conversation with nate gray.

"nothing." summer sighed taking a seat at the table.

summer sat down next to tess, and glared over at mitchie confused.

"what happened to you this morning?" summer asked her roommate confused.

"um early riser." mitchie said lying about her whereabouts.

"right, i'm gonna go. i'll see you guys in class." summer said heading out of the dining hall.

"so what's your deal?" shane yelled out at summer.

"what the hell can you possibly be getting at?" summer groaned, rolling her eyes.

"summer, why are you always trying to push everything and everyone away?" shane hissed.

"what are you talking about gray?" summer yelled.

"i see the way nate looks at you, and i hope you know nothing you could ever do will make him stop " he revealed.

she turned her back on shane gray and continued back to her cabin as tears fell down her face. her second day back and she already got somehow screwed up what might've been the best thing to ever happen to her , that's a new record.

she layed in her bed and cried. everything around her was crashing down and anywhere she went the things she did followed her. she felt so trapped within her own world, that many from the outside would believe is glamorous, but inside it was dark.
