looking at the sign caused a feeling of nostalgia that sent shivers down her spine, the sign read "camp rock". she hadn't been at camp rock since she was twelve years old & now sixteen years old she was shocked she was here again. after summer hill made it big, her whole life transformed. her parents vision got distorted by money, the way people saw her changed, & she felt like she wasn't even human anymore. everyone around her tested her & pushed her so far. & then acted shocked when she finally cracked under the pressure of it all. as if she was supposed to be able to withstand anything. as if she was invincible, but she wasn't & they soon learned that when she started to spiral and waste away. it was the classic "hollywood train wreck" story that had been told time and time again.

"darling we're so glad to have you with us this summer it's been a long time." brown said, helping summer out of the limo.

summer smiled and fixed her hair. she couldn't believe out of all the places they could've shipped her off to, sent her they chose camp rock.

"you'll be staying in cabin ten, follow me right this way." brown said as he motioned summer towards where she would be sleeping for the rest of the season.

summer followed brown, & summer's driver followed behind them with summer's luggage.

campers stared and whispered as "the summer hill" strutted across the camp.

they finally made it to the cabin and the driver headed in to put summers luggage inside, leaving her and brown outside the cabin.

summer finally broke her silence.

"look brown, i don't want to be here. so can you just call my mom or my manager and just get me the hell out of here please." she demanded.

"wow that was quite a statement miss." brown retorted causing summer to roll her eyes.

"i'm just being honest. i don't want to spend my entire summer getting my gucci flip flops covered in dirt & eating mashed potatoes and packaged hot dogs." summer hissed.

"i wonder what happened to that little girl summer. the one that would practically jump out the car because she was so excited to be here. the girl before she got caught up in all the money & the fame, the one who just loved music." brown sighed.

summers' face softened at his statement and with a flip of her hair she walked into the cabin leaving brown alone in the steps.

she walked in to be greeted by a girl she'd never seen before. the girl soon sprung from her bed introducing herself.

"hey i'm mitchie." the girl said with a smile that stretched from ear to ear.

"i'm summer." summer replied dryly.

"i know, your last album was totally genius." mitchie squealed.

"thanks, so is it just us?" summer questioned.

"yeah, brown thought it would be good if you didn't have a crowded cabin, since some of the girls are overly excited you're here." mitchie replied.

"guess that's the hollywood treatment." summer said exiting the cabin and slamming the door behind her and mitchie followed.

summer walked out by the main stage where all the campers were socializing and it went quiet. everyone couldn't believe that summer hill was at camp rock.

"summer hill, is that you?" tess said laughing as she embraced the girl in a hug.

summer was once the reigning queen of camp rock, and before she left she handed her crown to tess tyler.

"i can't even express how happy i am to see you." summer sighed smiling, happy that there was someone she knew at the camp.

the girls continued to chat, and then summer's roomie bumped into tess.

"sorry. i didn't see you." mitchie said, apologizing.

"obviously." tess hissed causing summer to laugh as the girls strutted off.

"that's tess tyler, the diva of camp rock & with her that's summer hill, the reigning teen queen of pop." a girl said to mitchie as she looked up from her laptop.

"i know who summer hill is, doesnt everyone. but tess is she really good?" mitchie asked.

"let's just say tess is good at trying too hard to be good. i mean she practically tries to be a clone of summer, but talent you can't fake that you know. it just comes naturally, i'll give it to summer she has pure talent." the girl said.

"i'm caitlyn, camper today, top selling music producer tomorrow." caitlyn added introducing herself.

"cool, i'm mitchie." mitchie stated.

the camp musical director stated the camp rules and the goals she wanted everyone to reach by the end of the season. then she made an announcement that shocked all the campers.

"so i know you've all seen that pop sensation summer hill joining us, but we also have three very special celebrity instructors joining us." she announced leaving all the campers wondering who it would be.

summer walked back to her cabin alone and pulled out her cellphone. her manager picked up and summer began to beg for mercy.

"please let me come home, i've learned my lesson. i've showered in cold water. i have looked at a tree. it's been three hours, i need a blowout." summer complained into the phone & her manager hung up as summer entered her cabin.

summer laid down looking up at the ceiling defeated. she didn't belong in a place like this. she should've been home in her own queen bed, but here she was in a rustic cabin laying in a twin bed. then suddenly she heard a knock at the door. she rose from the bed of despair and opened the door.

she was completely shocked by who it was, shane gray.
