"chapter 5- wondering"
summer sat out on the dock alone staring out at the lake as she strummed her guitar & wrote down a few lyrics.
this was the first time in months she was able to actually sit down and write a song. for months her mind had been blurred from all the drugs and alcohol in her system. making her forget what her true talent was, writing music.
summer started to sing the lyrics of the song she had just constructed. as she sang nate gray walked over.
"swore that i was right, but was i wrong. is where i'm supposed to be at all. i don't have the answers, not today. it's like nothing makes the questions go away. what i'd give to see, if the grass was greener. on the other side of all i've had and lost. would it be enough or would i still be wondering."
summer looked over to see nate standing before her.
"that was really good." nate said shocked.
he knew summer was talented but she had never sang a song with that much meaning before.
"thanks." she said grabbing her song book and guitar.
"you're leaving." nate asked sadly.
"yeah i'm gonna head back to my cabin." she said, starting to walk off.
"wait let me walk you." nate stuttered out.
summer and nate walked back to her cabin. just when they arrived at the door and nate prepared to say his goodbyes, but then summer popped a question.
"do you maybe wanna come in." summer asked shyly.
"yeah, yeah that'd be cool." nate said trying to hide his excitement.
after hours of talking and singing the two fell asleep in summers twin bed. laying peacefully on top of each other they were too deep in there sleep to see the flash of a smart phone.
