It had felt like a eternity until Damien was discharged from the hospital. I had packed all of our things and had gave Damien a change of clothes. All we needed was to get Damien wheeled down to the car and off we go. The sound of a door opening catches my attention, I turn to see Damien all changed and ready to go. I stand up and walk over to him grabbing his arm and helping him move to the wheel chair. "You ready" I say as the door opens and a nurse walks in "fuck ya" He reply's with enthusiasm laced in his voice.
Once we get down to the 1st floor Damien's driver David is waiting in the car. I help Damien sit down and he buckles himself up, I then slide in the seat next to him and off we went. Next thing we both new we were on my dad's jet back to New York. The city lights of New York shined brightly as the plane got closer. I look over to see Damien fast asleep due to his pain meds. He looks so peaceful like a puppy almost. It's strange how I had so much hate for this man at one point and here we are about a month into this strange "marriage" acting as though we're friends. Don't get me wrong I'm still weary of who he his and deep down I feel a slight hate. But I can't say I wouldn't want to see him succeed,do good, and change. Excuse me... the sound of the pilots voice shakes me from my thoughts. I shake Damien and his eyes flutter open showing his beautiful ocean deep blue eyes "Good morning sleepy head we're here" I say standing and stretching my back out. "You were out for a while" I say looking at his sleepy figure "those damn meds are going to be the end of me" He says rubbing his eyes away of sleep. We walk out of the jet and the wave of fresh air hits my face. It's been awhile since I have felt at peace.
The ride back to Damien's penthouse was quiet and only the sound of breathing and the light radio could be heard. The smell of the city brought a sense of comfort to me. And then I knew this is what I want this is...home
