how does he know where we are? My brain feels like it's a ticking time bomb ready to explode....how the hell did he know we were here.
"We need to hide you" my words are stern as I grab her. I'm not losing anyone else, even if it means I die doing it. She follows my lead as I pull her down away from the windows. I place her in front of me as I lead her to the safest place I can think of. Under the house lies a tunnel that leads to an underground bunker. It's built with military grade steel and is armed heavily.

"Damien what is going on?" Panic is heavy in her voice as she looks at me. Fear flows through her eyes as it courses through my veins. How could I even explain this to her? 'Oh by the way, that man I was talking about. You know the one who killed my parents, well he's here'. Sure! Sounds great don't you think dear reader? No, absolutely not. I choose to stay silent as I guide her to a familiar bookshelf. I pull out a book that leads to a bullet proof door. I yank it open after scanning my finger print.
"Stay in here, call me if anything happens. Okay? I promise ill explain everything later" I say as I guide her inside.
"Are you insane Damien?" Her voice is shaky as she grabs me by the arm. "Bella, please dont argue with me. Im doing this to keep you safe, okay." I pull my arm away as I kiss her forehead. I shut the door hearing her muffled screams turn into pure silence. I know ill regret this in some way but for now she's safe and thats all that matters.
I make my way out and see Alaric is standing with security. "He's here isn't he?" Alarics tone is cold and full of disdain. Our hate runs equal, we share vengeance like a dark secret. Alaric holds out a gun and I grab it. The weapon feels cold against my skin as adrenaline runs through me.
"Let's go" I say. My body was chilled down to its bones.
My motive...who needs one? One way or another one of us was gonna die.

Death to me is peaceful. It's a place I've looked in the face before. So, why should I be afraid of it? I'm tired of being a victim.

I walk outside to find him and his men all standing in a familiar formation. Looking at him makes me sick. He was disgusting...a revolting useless piece of human flesh.
"I'm a lucky man today boys. I've got both Knight brothers." He says smiling sadistically.
"You know, you two have been nothing but a thorn in my side especially you" he says pointing to me. "The one difference between you and your father Damien is that your not dead." He says smiling at me. My hand grips my gun tighter.

"Well let's get started shall we" he says

I finally speak up "what do you want" I say coldly.

"You dead...and well that pretty little thing you call wife. You know she's quite a gentle soul. A innocent little play thing" he says trying to get a ride out of me. I don't let him.

"Fuck you" Alaric says next me. I give him a look to leave it alone. But, he was right. Fuck this. Dimitri laughs.
"Oh if it isn't the forgotten knight brother. All bark no bite. I should've put you out of your misery years ago. At least you'd have some recognition" he says glaring at Alaric.
"Enough." I say calmly. I'm waiting for a signal to shoot. I know one of my snipers not to far from here.

Then my signal came a sniper bullet cut through the air and hit one of his men. It took his head clean off. I smile and look at Dimitri...he fucked up.

Everything is like a blur men fighting. But I stand and wait for the perfect opportunity to kill him. As I stand in the midst of it something catches my eye in the distance. Two men from my detail are dragging...my Angel. My body recoils as I turn to her. Fight or flight hits me.
"She's gonna be mine Damien" Dimitri Taunts. He walks up to me "and I want her to see when I kill you" he says pointing his pistol at me. I look at him coldly.

"Damien..." Bella's gentle voice cuts through the sounds of gun fire. Blood coats my whole body. I don't turn to her, if I died today she didn't need to see it. "Bella...close your eyes" I say gently calling out to her.
