"Ohh look at that!" Your mother points upward twords a tall building coming into view, you were cleared to drive today and the thought of being in control of your body and your car is refreshing to you. It's been so long since you've been out of your house and out of your bed that your body feels stiff, like a porcelain doll that hadn't been moved or played with for years. Most of all you're just happy to have your car back. The mechanic did a good job. Not a scratch left on her.

The building in question she was pointing to  is thin, but very tall, tall enough that the top is obscured by low hanging clouds. The thousands of windows coating the surface glimmer and flash in the sunlight, making it almost impossible to see many details about the building. Upon coming closer you manage to read a large sign held up on the buildings black and steel surface which reads "BIG HIT ENTERTAINMENT"

"What's big hit?" Your mother asks quietly.

You grunt. "No idea" you reply smugly "How would I know?"

Her face slackens and she replies with a shoulder raise.

"Eh."

She grows quiet after that and focuses her attention back out the window to stare at the bustling city life.

You continue on a little while longer until you're in the heart of the bustling city. Hundreds of people line the streets, talking, laughing or walking alone with bags upon bags in their arms from shopping. Cafes and stores alike line the road all painted in bright happy colors. Everything seems to buzz with excitement. The air itself tingling with electricity.

You find a place to park, which took a bit given how busy the roads were and the people walking along gave you anxiety.

"Ten points if you hit that kid over there" your mother points to a skinny boy wearing a bright pink shirt and dark jeans, he has blond hair cascading over his forehead, obscuring his eyes from view. He's smiling though and kicking around a soccer ball.

You scoff and playfully push your mom whose now smiling and laughing, the sound leaving you with a fluttery feeling.

"Mom! I can't just go around hitting people"

You get an eye roll in return and a little shoulder push from her small delicate hands.

"It was a joke love! Relax"

You shoot her an unconvinced glare and purse your lips. You know for a fact the lady wasn't joking in the least.

She snorts loudly and shakes her head, smiling widely showing off her perfect white teeth. You laugh softly and get out of the car with one another. The both of you stand and stare for a few heartbeats, just taking in the scenery. You have to squint against the glare of the sun. The amount of people about is pretty overwhelming, but the sight of a large city teeming with life is foreign to you. You're completely out of your element but at least you have your mother with you this time.

"So?" She asks, "Where to?" She runs a hand through her hair and looks around you, scanning through the people before meeting your gaze.

"Uh. I dunno maybe we should just walk? Find places as we go?"

She nods and purses her lips, before sucking her bottom lip in and biting down. Then she shrugs.

"Yeah. That's seems to be our best bet"

You laugh at her confused face and begin walking along the sidewalk.

She takes your hand in hers and weaves her fingers through your own. The warmth of her hand seeps into you and you find yourself relaxing at her touch. You were a bit anxious and high strung, your body tense as you weaved your way through the mass of people. You've never done well with being in crowds and your mother must have picked up on that. She shoots you a side glance and smiles reassuringly. You huff out a breath and follow her lead. Letting her almost drag you along the pavement. You slow to look in windows and glance around inside of the many shops when one of them catches your eye. It's a pretty little boutique, the walls are pastel pink, with golden accents in every corner. The inside seems to match the outside, only the walls are darker pink obscured by the many articles of clothing lining them. many girls wander around with clothing in their arms, all smiling and filling their slim arms full of clothing that they can hardly carry.
