Always Needs Food

Peter was Spider-Man, a superhero from Queens. He gained his superhuman powers when he was bitten by a spider on a field trip to Oscorp, and used those powers to fight crime. However, there was one annoying power that he gained; a superhuman metabolism.

An enhanced metabolism makes it so that he can burn through most drugs in a matter of seconds. Petty villains had tried to lure him there and kidnap him, knocking him out with a drug, only to find that nothing happened, even when they upped the dose to lethal for human. That's the plus side of it.

The negative side of it, however, is that Peter always needed large amounts of food. Large meals, an abundance of snacks throughout the day, and much more, dependent on what he did that day.

Today was the day that everything wouldn't go according to plan.

Peter was prepared with all of the snacks he could eat between the periods, at least one gripped in each hand for the next break. As soon as the bell rang, he practically ran out the door of the classroom, splitting open the flimsy bags and eating the snacks. He was so hungry, and it wasn't even lunch yet.

He had one last period left before lunch happened, and that's all he had to get through. The period with Flash.

As soon as Peter walked into the classroom, he glanced around, seeing if Flash was there yet. Thankfully, he wasn't. Peter didn't know if he could deal with another period of Flash right before lunch.

Peter sat down in his seat, and the bell rang, signaling that the period had started. Flash walked in late, slamming the door, and sat down in his seat, conveniently next to Peter.

He whispered taunts at him throughout the period, Peter's tolerance for them slowly dropping.

'Just wait until lunch,' Peter thought.

As soon as the bell rang, Peter did actually run to the cafeteria, desperate to start lunch. He sat down and pulled out his lunch, right when Flash walked by.

Flash saw the size of his lunchbox, and said, "How about you share, Parker?" With a smirk, he grabbed the handle and pulled it away from Peter.

"Give it back, Flash." Peter said, barely concealed anger flashing behind his eyes.

"No, I don't think I will," Flash said, smiling.

"Give it back, Flash!" Peter said, louder this time.

"Ooh, what's weak little Peter Parker gonna do?" He said, turning around and starting to walk back to his friend group.

Peter walked over to him and tapped his shoulder. "What?" Flash said, annoyed.

Peter didn't respond; just punched him clean in the chest.

Flash flew back, across the cafeteria building, hitting the far wall, already knocked out. Peter walked over to him, grabbed the lunch box, and walked back over to where Ned had sat down.

Peter started eating while Ned stared in shock, before he finally exclaimed, "Well, that's one way to do it!"
