Anna ran into Saleem's house to find it empty. She saw that the gas lamp was running low so she quickly went to turn it up. The brightness filled the room and she ultimately felt a little safer. Even with this new wave of confidence that Anna had never experienced before, she was still scared. She was almost so scared that she wanted to run straight back to the TARDIS and lock the door.

Anna looked around and found no sign of the Doctor.

"Doctor? Saleem? Is anyone there?" She called through the house. She got no answer so she walked over to the window when she saw a figure with a torch running towards the house, something told her to open the door for them and she did just that.

"Anna?" The Doctor gasped as she shut the door behind him. "What are you doing here!? I put you in the TARDIS and locked the door, how did you get out? And why are you wearing my coat?"

Anna almost laughed, he looked so bewildered and confused. However she could sense the seriousness in his voice so she answered to the best of her understanding.

"Well I woke up in the TARDIS and I tried talking to it so it would let me out when this rucksack appeared on the jump seat which had this in it." She showed him the key around her neck.

"Is that a TARDIS key?" He asked. He seemed completely and utterly confused.

"It would seem so." She replied.

The Doctor composed himself and said to her seriously,"You mean to tell me that the TARDIS gave you a key? " Anna felt a little frightened, it reminded her of the countless tellingsoff she had had at school. "Why would she do that?" He suddenly seemed curious and there was a playful note in his voice once again. She let out a breath that she didn't realise she was holding. She looked around the room then froze.

"D-Doctor..." She stammered.

"What is it?" He said, turning his head to see what she was looking at.

"W-where did that shadow come from?" Anna pointed to a shadow that had appeared in the middle of the room. There was no telling what was casting it.

"Ah" the Doctor said.

"Ah?" Questioned Anna. She could see that the shadow seemed to be growing towards them.

"Well, basically..." He turned to her, grabbed her hand and said, "Run!"

And they ran. Oh how they ran. They ran out the door, and towards the centre of the town. The ground wasn't paved like it was back home, there was still the purple soil that seemed to become dimmer as the minutes ticked by. The trees lined the path that led through the town where more houses with their lights out loomed over them.

"Where are we going!?" Anna managed to shout through the blood pumping in her ears.

"The town hall! That's where the others are gathered!"

"Others!?"

"I'll tell you when we get there but for now just run!"
