Chapter 14

Anna heard a groan from the other side of the room. She grinned and leapt to her feet, running over to Joe.
"Hey, you okay?"

"Mmm-Kay." He groaned while sitting up. "What just happened?"

"We travelled through time and space!" Anna almost shouted. She was excited. Where were they this time? When were they this time? Another planet? Tudor London? "Come on!" She said to Joe while running towards the door. "We could be anywhere and any when in the universe, we could be...." She slowed to a stop as she ran out of the doors. "Where we were before."

"Yep, come on." The Doctor said, walking calmly out the door. Joe followed slowly, checking to see of the sides of the TARDIS were real before he left with a shrug.

"Hey! Doctor, what's going on? I thought we were going somewhere exciting." She looked to the clock to see what time it was. 4:30. So after school?

"Anna, this is a school! Where could be more exciting?" He replied with a grin.

She felt that same sense of courage she had felt on the planet Jurka, very unlike herself. "Then what was with the note? 'Use your key, get inside, now.'" She crossed her arms and leaned back on her heels.

"I got a signal on the sonic screwdriver. Now come on, lets find out what the problem is." he explained while taking it our of his pocket. he pressed the button and it started making its electronic buzzing noise. He held it close to his ear and pointed it in front of him as he walked towards the door.

"Sonic what?" Joe asked. 

"Screwdriver." Anna answered quickly. "It does stuff."

They were now walking out of the door and down the corridor towards the school reception. 

"Doctor, where are we going?" She asked.

"Here, apparently." The trio came to a stop in the middle of the reception area. Suddenly Joe spoke up.

"Where is everyone? There's normally teachers wondering around still aren't there?" 

The thought had only just occurred to Anna. Where was everyone? 

It seemed that the thought had only just occurred to the Doctor as well as he suddenly stopped messing with his screwdriver and looked around. "Good question Joe... Normally Teachers are still marking or planning lessons or having catch-up coffee while gossiping about students but there's no one here..." 

The sound of glass smashing caught their attention. They all turned to see the front doors of the school completely obliterated and some people in dark blue suits with weird domed helmets about Anna's height striding towards them. They seemed to be carrying guns!

"What the-" Joe started to say before he was interrupted by the Doctor.

"RUN!"

A/N I apologise for the lateness and shortness of this chapter. I always seem to be dong this :P sorry... I had a massive writers block and couldn't decide what was going to happen. I can't promise another chapter soon, but just at some point in the future, or past- whatever.
