Chapter Seventeen: Bringing Out The Dead (3x13)

Elijah is standing before Klaus and Kaira, wiping the blood off his hands with a white handkerchief after killing Daniel

"You look surprised to see me. So it wasn't you that removed the dagger from my chest?" asked Elijah

"You look like you could do with a drink. And we have a lot to discuss, so shall we?" asked Klaus

Elijah attacks him. Klaus flies through a window. And Kaira feels every hit, letting out small screams and whimpers

"Easy. I just finished renovating," said Klaus

Klaus rushes at Elijah and Elijah crashes into a table, breaking it

"You know you have every right to be mad at me. But I kept my word, I reunited you with our family," said Klaus

Elijah attacks him again, and Klaus is knocked against a coffin. Klaus opens the one next to it, undaggers Kol who is lying inside, rushes to Elijah and holds him against a closed coffin by his throat. Klaus holds the dagger up threateningly

"Don't make me do this to you again Elijah!" yelled Klaus

"Come on. Use it. I dare you. You'll have Kol to deal with," said Elijah

Klaus lowers the dagger, and Kaira stops whimpering. The human girl slowly stands up and leans up the archway for support

"Mikael is dead," said Klaus

Klaus releases his grip and Elijah stands up, surprised

"What did you say?" asked Elijah

"I killed him. With his own weapon. He's gone, Elijah. Forever," said Klaus

"Why do our family remain in these coffins? Finn for over 900 years, Kol for over a century," said Elijah

"Because of Stefan Salvatore. He holds the one thing keeping me from freeing them. There are things that you do not know about our past, Elijah. Our mother's death. Things I never wanted you to know but I'm ready to tell you now. I only ask that you remember the oath of loyalty you once swore to me," said Klaus

Klaus goes to a small table where there is a small urn and removes the lid. Klaus dips the dagger inside then walks over to Kol's coffin

"What are you doing?" asked Elijah

Klaus daggers Kol again

"Always and forever. I need you to stand by my side. Be my brother. Help me destroy Stefan and I promise you our family will be whole again," said Klaus

Klaus closes Kol's coffin lid. Klaus tells Elijah the truth about their mother's demise and Kaira slowly makes her way upstairs. Kaira draws herself a bath and decides to relax in it, knowing that Klaus will eventually join her. Kaira wasn't even aware that she had fallen asleep in the bath. Bonnie looks at the signs of Klaus' family

"Is this the only grimoire you kept?" asked Bonnie

"It was the only one I needed. So...What is all of this?" asked Abby

"Family history. About a mother, who loved her children so much, she couldn't bear the thought she might lose them. So she turned them into vampires and linked her daughter-in-law to one of them. One of them is Klaus, and his wife Kaira is linked to him," said Bonnie

"The one you're trying to kill with whatever is in that coffin?" asked Abby

Bonnie nods. Bonnie looks at the open grimoire on top of the coffin. Bonnie notices a page that was torn out
