"What do I tell him? He's clingy — affectionate — and so am I!"
"I know, Tigris. I could throw up." Shota sighed. "Tell him you're very sick with strep. He'll stay away because of his quirk." He paused. "You're hiding your bandages?"
"I wore one of his hoodies actually. I'm wearing my lab coat on top of it for class."
"Are you holding up well?"
"I can move, just limited. No bending. Everything hurts. I'll have the weekend to relax hopefully."
"I'll let you go. I have work to do. Good luck."
"I'll need it." She hung up and placed her phone on her desk.
Hizashi kept her updated on his whereabouts but generally nothing more than that. He made it obvious he was excited to see her and that was the first thing he was going to do.
She moved through her day pushing her arms a little further every lesson to be as loose as possible as well as pain-free. Pain meds only went so far and recovery girl couldn't abandon U.A. just to come and heal her.
The day had come to an end and Tigris waited at her desk in the classroom for the loud hero to drop off her paperwork. Though she was nervous, she was excited to see him after so long and to hear about home life.
The door to her classroom slammed open with Mic holding it. He wore his hero outfit and held a bouquet of flowers. Another vase to add to the kitchen.
"There she is! The one, the only, the eccentric, the exhilarating, Mother Nature!" Mic announced.
She let out a laugh as he made his way down the steps.
"And who's that making his way down to the beautiful hero? Why it's none other than the voice hero Present Mic!"
"You'd make a great announcer," She teased.
The closer he got the more concerned he became. He took off his glasses and raised a brow.
"Sweets, what happened?"
She rolled back her chair and stood up touching the patch on her head. "Oh this? Training with the kids went a little overboard, heh."
He reached up and felt the wrap, then the bruise around her eye, his hand finally rest on her cheek. "Are you hurt?"
"No, just — uh — a bit sick." She smiled.
"Well guess what? I don't care!" He placed a hand on the other cheek and moved in for a kiss. He was being gentle so she didn't mind. "And you're wearing my hoodie! Miss me too much?"
"Well, of course, I missed you. It's also starting to get a bit cold out."
He opened his arms and picked her up in a big hug. She let out a yelp much like a dog causing him to let go.
"Woah! Are you all alright? I didn't — I didn't think my hug was that tight... I'm sorry, sweets."
She held up her hands, "No no no no! I'm okay, just uh, sore! Sore from all the uh — training!"
Her sleeves fell revealing part of her bandaged arms which she tried to hide quickly.
"Why...are your arms bandaged?"
"Uh — training?"
He grabbed her wrist and pulled up more of her sleeve. She flinched in pain.
"What kind of training were you up to?"
"Hard training. Very uh —"
He crossed his arms, "Listen, yo, I doubt that Sho would let this happen with his students."
