Mic sat at his kitchen table barely out of his hero uniform. He looked like he fought a villain for hours. He threw his hair up in a bun still sticky and hard from the gel.
It was 3 A.M. and he had just finished reading Mother Nature's file, again. He wanted every detail he was missing out on. After finishing up he leaned back on the kitchen chair and let out a long sigh just before lighting a cigarette.
Thunder erupted outside and the wind picked up. He remembered some windows were open through his house and decided to close them before it ruined anything. With a sluggish stroll, one by one, he closed them.
It wasn't until he reached the end of his hall that Mic suddenly remembered Tigris lived across the ally from him. Before shutting the window he stared off at the home that had a single light on in the living room. She had to be home. His eyes caught a hole in one of her windows which struck worry.
Within a moment he grabbed the closest hoodie he could find and ran out the door towards her house. On the way, he dialed and redialed her phone not expecting any kind of answer but hoped for one.
Mic dropped his phone upon seeing the door leading up to her apartment. The handle was covered in blood and blood prints littered the area around the handle. He grabbed his phone in an instant and rushed to the door, slamming his shoulder against it until it broke open.
He rushed up the steps to the second door which was partially opened and looked similar to the front door. Her living room was was a disaster with spots of blood smeared on the hardwood floor. Items were knocked over and claw marks scratched down the wall.
Hizashi was prepared to fight her at a moment's notice. He read the files, he knew her danger, but he also knew she needed someone. Air blew in the broken hole moving the curtains nearby. With each step, he held his breath and gazed about a new section of the room.
The light from the kitchen cast a shadow on a strange object sitting on the floor. He turned and knelt down near it. It was smooth, but ribbed, and hard. It suddenly hit him; her horns. A fine cut ran across the root of the horn, but the knife on the floor already gave him the answer.
There was a light creek on the floor behind him. At this point he knew better, she was stalking him. Lightning struck the ground causing the house to light up momentarily exposing her shadow on the kitchen cabinets.
It was a waiting game, who was going to attack first.
Gripping the severed horn he turned quickly ready to use it as a weapon. To his shock, she was no longer there. Sweat was beginning to bead on his forehead. She was fast, very fast.
Thunder and lightning hit again, and at that moment she appeared on the counter behind him, barely fitting on. In the process, she knocked off several items causing him to turn around and see her. Part of her body was visible from the small light, but her bright eyes are what he focused on. She wasn't completely herself but she wasn't completely animal, what appeared to be a lion.
Hizashi knuckles turned white as his grip tightened on the horn. A low growl came from her mouth, her tail flicking back and forth. His eyes then met with her bloodied hand/paw.
He took a deep breath then relaxed, "Doc, it's me."
His words didn't phase her in the slightest.
Mic took a step forward making sure his arms were open to her, "Come back to me, Doc."
She growled.
"I know you're scared, but I can tell you one thing, I'm not scared of you."
Her eyes narrowed on him.
