Redemption

57..

"What the hell you have done to yourself?" Randhir shouted and quickly shushed by the nurse who was operating sanyukta.

"It was just an accident. Okay. So calm down, " huffed sanyukta to a furious Randhir.

Doctors told him already that she was a bleeding mess when somebody bring her here.

"Who did this?" Randhir asked but sanyukta just glared at him. She has already told him million times that she don't know.

He can't stop running his hands in his hair.

"It was really a mistake calling you here. You are doing no help. " mutter sanyukta and looked away. She herself knew he was the first person crossed in her mind when she was lying there on the road with broken ribs and a broken leg.

She heard a long sigh escaped and she felt a hand on hers.

"I'm sorry. Okay. I'm really sorry." The sincerity in his voice was enough to turn to him. It made sanyukta crave to console him even when it's she who was injured.

"Who bring you to hospital?"

Randhir just couldn't help with his detectiveness. Interrogation is in his blood now.

That's what she is thinking right now.

"A pure soul. God bless her. " Murmured sanyukta.

Randhir was restless inside. He can't help but think about the worst that could happen. By the injuries he could see it cannot be just a accident. It's well planned accident where she is herself not sure what had happened to her?

He just wanted to ask what she was doing? Did she saw his face? Was it a car,bike truck airplane? Whatever. Things are getting what he has always feared it would be.

If anything happened to her today he won't be able to forgive himself ever.

And somewhere he knew who did this to her.

There was silence for few moments until she decided to say..

"Look. I want you to do something." Requested sanyukta.

"I don't know for how many days I'm going to stay here. I just want you to take care of kids. I would have told the old couple downstairs but they are busy in the orphanage they are opening. And right now it's only you who I can trust with my kids."

Randhir tried to hide the happiness blurb inside his heart listening his name and the word 'trust' in the same sentence from her mouth.

"And I don't want kids to see me. Tell them I'm some work for few days." Finished sanyukta.

"But why?"

"Doctor said that i have some internal injuries, which I don't think so I have. But they just don't let me go. And"

"And I just don't want them to see me like this" she say looking down at the bandage covers arm and leg. The injuries hiding inside the hospital gown will take enough time to heal.

She know how her kids would feel seeing it hurt.

"But you can't stay here. I can't let you stay here" said Randhir.

"I don't have any other options." She played with the ribbon of that green gown.

There is no way Randhir can tell her that his house is just in next block around the corner,where he had been living for almost past two years.

" Only if you don't mind, I have a penthouse." He was hesitant to look up into her eyes.

He just didn't knew it would be this easy to arrange everything at his penthouse. He saw doctor and nurse rushing in and out of the room to make her feel comfortable. He decided not to go in the room. He don't want to make her feel uncomfortable in anyway. He know that it was already a huge step for her to say yes to my offer. But more huge step was the trust she has shown in me. Now it's his job to keep that trust up and now he can't mess it up. Considering its his last chance he decided that he will do everything in his hand just to make sure his family is safe.
