January 2017

Dianne's POV
I stepped off the plane and breathed in the air which flooded the outside area of Heathrow airport. It felt weird to be back, to know the last time I was here, I was with Joe.

Joe hadn't escaped my mind completely, I would still often find myself daydreaming about him, wondering where he was or weather he had found someone else, that scared me and often made me anxious to think he would move on. I couldn't blame him, it wouldn't be right, but it would still hurt knowing I loved him. He was the first man I had truly fallen in love with, and it was nothing short of heartbreak to see him leave.

"If it isn't Dianne Buswell!" My best friend in the UK, Karen Clifton exclaimed as I went into the terminal, both of us running towards each other like excitable teenagers before hugging each other so tightly that neither of us could breathe.

"Karen! I've missed you so much!" I gushed, we both started to make our way to baggage claim. The airport was quite packed to the point where I almost felt uncomfortable, but I knew we would be out soon so I didn't let it eat me up inside.

"Kevin and Kiera are back in costa, she's been asking non stop about you." she said, I grinned.

"I can't wait to see her too, and Kev."

"Di! Great to see you again!" Kevin exclaimed, giving me a hug with one arm and hugging me with the other. Karen took Kiera who was crying her little eyes out.

"Maybe we should pop into WHSmith, get some water and then head to a local park, let her play for a while?" Karen suggests, me and Kevin both nod in agreement as that sounded like a decent plan. We all walked and talked as we meandered among the crowds, I wasn't really a big fan of airports and I'm not sure I ever will be.

While Karen went and bought some water and drinks for us, me and Kevin went along the book shelves when I saw a familiar name on a book.

"Username evie...Joe Sugg." I read to myself slowly, feeling the book underneath my fingertips, was he an author?? I looked at it inquisitively, wondering if my theory was true.

"Kev, come here a sec!" I shouted, he came over and looked at the book, raising his eyebrows. "Do you think it's him?" I asked, he shrugged.

"Open it."

I opened it slowly, only to be greeted with the familiar face that I had fell for nearly half a year ago. I slammed the book shut, smiling guiltily, it did seem like a good book though.

"I'm never going into bookshops again." I sigh sending Kevin rolling around the shop, I roll my eyes, we both collect ourselves before going to Karen, heading out of the shop after she finished paying for the drinks.

Maybe he was famous, maybe he wasn't. But either way, I was missing him more than I had ever before, and it terrified me at how great of a guy he was, it was hard for me to know he was real and not someone from my dreams.

Soon we were all sat in a park somewhere in central London, Kiera who was almost two sitting in Karen's lap. It made me happy how happy they were. Kevin and Karen had truly fallen in love but at the same time, it made me forlorn at how maybe I had lost out on a love like that.

"So you excited to start on Strictly, I honestly am so excited for you Di." I smiled back at Kevin, Kevin was such a sweetheart. He reminded me of Joe in a way, how he cared so much for everyone around him.

"I'm well excited, it's literally been my dream since I was a little girl, and now it's come true."

"But seriously, all the pros are so nice, you'll have a laugh." Kevin added, that was one thing I was most looking forward to when I started my Strictly journey, the amazing friendships I would form. I had met a lot of them through competitions and things but it would be great to actually have lasting friendships with them all.

"That's one thing I'm looking forward to, having a laugh, good banter."

Joe's POV
"Get in! Second game in a row!" I cheered, having just won my second game in a row against Jack Maynard, who was not happy about my victory at all.

"Oh come on mate, give me a chance." He protested, meanwhile I just laughed and did a victory dance, which Caspar and Conor laughed at, Byron making a round of drinks for everyone in the kitchen.

"Show off, you should go on Strictly Come Dancing." Conor teased, I laughed and sat down, I had heard of that show and watched it a few years back, it looked really cool but I doubt I would get dressed up in sequins and dance around on national live television, and probably make a tit out of myself in the process.

"I should What? I have two left feet!" I laughed, Conor rolled his eyes and tried to get me to get into ballroom hold with him but I refused, dancing was clearly not my forte.

"I might go on it, show you all how it's done." Caspar said, wiggling his hips. We all burst out laughing at his attempt.

"Casp, I don't think any of the pros would be tall enough, you are taller than anyone I know!" Jack exclaimed, god I loved this group of boys.
