Joe's POV
"I-I'm not sure."

"Erm, why don't you make a pros and cons list?" He suggested, I shrugged, I hadn't really thought of that before and I guess it would be fair way of looking at the current situation.

"Sure, I guess it's a good idea." I go and get a pen and paper before slumping back into my chair, writing out two headings and drawing a grid on the paper, I didn't use a ruler and quite frankly there were no teachers to have a go at me for not using one, they always did that in school.

"So cons, what is holding you back?" Byron asked, I felt like I was being interviewed, and in a way I was being interviewed.

"I could make a fool out of myself in TV." I say casually, Byron bursting out laughing.

"What?"

"You literally make a fool out of yourself for a living Joe."

I sighed, moving swiftly onto my next point. "Yeah, but on YouTube you can do re takes and cut things out, and even if you can I can't call the shots." I said, he nodded and nodded his head.

"Oh okay fair play. Anything else?"

"They're the only things that are holding me back really, Pros now?" I asked, jotting down the main points I had expressed previously in the cons column, it wasn't as big as I expected, that got me thinking.

That was another thing, I overthink things. Everything under the sun I overthink, trying to come up with every possible outcome to every situation which often would make me stressed when I didn't need to. Maybe this was what I was doing with Strictly, maybe I should do it, it could be a great experience.

"Well I'm going to meet a lot of really cool people, I'll get to meet other people who are in the same position as me, and make some new friends." I said, Byron smiled.

It felt like I was starting secondary school again, and everyone would be just as nervous as I was, and we would all be seeing each other everyday, I guess it was a bit like school, but it would be the best school ever I can tell.

"You would, a lot of famous people go in the show. Anything else?" I nod, more and more positive results flood my mind.

"Well, Strictly is known for being a family show, so I'd love to dance for my Nan, you know Phyllis?"

"Oh yeah, didn't she used to dance?" Byron asked, remembering me mentioning it a while back, I'm surprised he had remembered.

I smiled. "Yeah, she used to dance at Blackpool tower, so I'd love to dance there, you get to a point in the competition and you dance there so I'd love to do nan proud." I said, Byron smiled widely, family meant everything to me and I would do anything for any of them.

"Anything else?"

"Well I have to admit, the list goes on." I said, Byron gave me an expectant look.

"You know what, why not." I said, Byron cheered. In that moment I had a rush of excitement come over me, I couldn't wait to get out on that dance floor.
