It all falls into place

Dianne's POV
I woke up like I always did. This consisted of getting up, yawning my head off and wiping my eyes, I could feel the makeup from last smudging around but I didn't care as I would be washing it off in a moment. My morning always also consisted of throwing on a pair of super comfy slippers and heading into the bathroom and taking a look in the mirror.

Today I was messier than usual, last nights makeup was all over my face and my hair looked like it had been through a tornado. I looked a mess, but I had learnt to overcome those insecurities, however they did get to me sometimes. Thankfully, today wasn't one of those days. I sighed.

"Come on Buswell, you've got this."

I took a deep breath before getting into the shower, feeling the warm water drench my skin.

Joe's POV
"Flipping alarm!"

"Flipping alarm!" I exclaimed as I heard my alarm, which I had set to the Strictly theme tune the night before, good idea don't you think, blast throughout my room. I sighed, unfolding the duvet and sitting up, wiping my eyes and heading into the bathroom.

Seeing my reflection wasn't as bad as it used to be. Before, my eyes would constantly be drawn to my ribs which stuck out slightly so you could see where the bones bulged at the surface and where they didn't. My eyes would always be drawn to the fact that I didn't have one hair on my body or even my face, but I had learnt to embrace that. Before, I saw a short, skinny man who looked like he never hit puberty and for a while I thought I never would. Now, I see a man who isn't perfect, but is good enough for oneself, and I was completely fine with that.

I took a long hot shower, feeling the water veil over me, making my hair seem darker and my skin slightly flushed, all while I belted my heart out to some of my favourite childhood classics.

Dianne's POV
After my shower, I spent a reasonable amount of time getting ready. I chose a pair of black leggings and a black vest, this way if I sweated no one would notice too much.

Today was the day we got to meet the celebrities, and I couldn't wait to see who could potentially be my partner. I had no clue who would be on the show, but I was very intrigued to find out.

"Come on Dianne, lets see who's on Strictly this year."

Joe's POV
I didn't really know what to wear so in the end I just opted for some grey jogging bottoms or 'trackie dacks' as Dianne would say, and a black t shirt. I also throw on a white hoodie before grabbing my phone and a bottle of water, putting on some trainers and heading out the door.

I was excited to meet all of the pro dancers and the celebrities, and see who my potential partner could be. I wanted to work with someone who had good banter, someone who could have a laugh but wasn't afraid to tell me where I went wrong, in an encouraging way of course.

Dianne's POV
Now I was making the short walk to Elstree Studios, my second home as I spent most of my time here, but I loved every moment of it. Dancing has always been my passion, so to have the privilege of coming here every day for work and dance my heart out on a show that I love really is a dream come true for me.

One of my friends from back home was texting me and we were having a laugh, bantering back and forth about a memory we had together, it was a few years back and we were parading around on Australia Day all kitted out in our patriotic colours. I was engrossed so much so that I didn't feel myself clash accidentally with the shoulder of someone relatively taller than me and dressed in a white hoodie of some sort.

Joe's POV
Me and Tom were just planning our next big adventure together, we loved to travel together and had the most amazing time in Ireland, it was only a matter of time when our next trip would be on the cards. I was also texting him to hopefully take my mind off the nerves that were starting rise through my veins and bloodstreams like fire through a sky scraper, like one of those scenes in movies where the entire building came crashing down after, I was really hoping the same thing wouldn't happen but with my sanity. I was in the middle of typing a text when I accidentally bumped into someone shorter than me but the only thing I saw was red. We both stepped back, me awkwardly chuckling and finding the words to apologise but as we did so I don't think I could comprehend who was face to face with.

Those brown eyes.

That red hair.

That smile that was a package deal with a dimple that was so adorable that puppies and kittens grew jealous.

Question is, how come?

Dianne's POV
As we both stepped back I immediately felt a nervous panic come over me, I was so clumsy sometimes. However, when I did step back properly I was shocked.

Those blue eyes.

That dirty blonde hair.

That striking jawline.

It was him. And he was here. But what was he doing here??

"Joe?" I ask quietly, I can tell he was just as shocked as I am.

"Hi, god it's...it's been a while." He said somewhat awkwardly, yes Joe, it has been a while.

"Yeah, hows the past two years been?" I said making us both laugh and the unexpectedness of it all. One minute your gossiping with your friend from home about Australia Day and the next your talking to the man you fell in love with and never moved on from.

"They've...they've been alright, comme ci comme ça as the French would say, hows life, did you go back to Australia or..."

I chuckled. "Yeah, until I got signed up to Strictly Come Dancing, couldn't quite believe it. Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"Well, we've got ages until we're needed so maybe we could do this over coffee, talk properly?" I ask, please please say yes come on.

He smiled.

"I know a place down the street."

The end x

Sooooooo this is the end of this book! I hope you enjoyed reading it because I LOVED writing it! Now I know there's not much joanne content as in together content in but I really wanted it to be more about the stars aligning and how the signs lead them to where and they are and stuff like that!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this book and thank you so much for all the support! It means so much and it really makes my day as a writer!
