Jaden hung Tofu's paintings on the wall. "They don't match, but they're beautiful nonetheless." She nodded.
"Really, I'm flattered but, you don't have to!" Tofu waved her hands.
"No no, I insist! You look like one of the greatest artists of our time." Jaden said, turning around to Tofu.
"Why thank you princess! I thought I'd never get such a compliment." Tofu looked at her panintings on the wall.Chargii walked down the hall where Jaden and Tofu were at. "..Nice paintings." Chargii said, walking past them.
Tofu sighed and crossed her arms.
"You have a lot more potential than you think. Don't doubt yourself, or it will be more likely you won't succeed!" Jaden put her hand on Tofu's shoulder.
"..You're right Jaden..Thanks!" Tofu lit up. Tofu stopped suddenly. "..Jaden do you smell that?" Tofu said, scrunching up her face.
Jaden smelled the air for a moment. It didn't smell good. "You're right.. What is that?" Jaden covered her nose.
They heard noises of surprise from down the hallway. Jaden signaled Tofu to follow her to the sound.Shroomy and Chargii stood at the dining room door, looking in. Chargii covered her mouth.
"..Guys, whats going on..?" Tofu asked. Jaden finally realized the smell.
"Tofu I don't think whatever's behind that door is good..." Jaden turned to Tofu.
Shroomy stood out of the way and glanced at Jaden and Tofu.
Tofu slowly walked to the door as Jaden watched.
"...Lua.." Tofu said, trying not to quiver."Lua?!" Jaden whispered in terror. She looked in. His ragdoll figure layed there on the floor, drenched in the puddle of his stenchy blood. Around him was broken teacups and glass. He was still in his sleeping wear when he died.
"How will we know who did it??" Chargii asked.
"..Well Pants is the only one not here, so-" Shroomy was sweating.
"How can you blame someone just because they aren't here? You're the only one that doesn't seem surprised from this! Look, you're sweating!" Tofu pointed at Shroomy. He raised his eyebrows.
"Excuse me??" He shouted.
"Guys, guys, please don't fight!!" Jaden tried to stop them. Nobody stopped. There was endless arguing at the door.
..You know, where IS Pants? Jaden thought. She stepped away and went looking for her.Pants sat at her desk, twiddling with a quill. In front of her sat a sheet of paper and a bottle of ink. She dipped the end of her quill in the ink, and started writing carefully.
August 28th of 1432,
There was a body in the dining room. Around it was broken glass and teacups. I know who did it. There is no way for me to not know.
I wish I didn't know. I don't want to be here. I'm going to die in this castle, and it's all because of how much I missed someone.
I can't recognize Sketchy today. Not his usual self, and never his old self. He's a new person today, and I am afraid.
Signed, Four D. Pants.
