~ A Year Later ~

   "Isaiah! Get TMX on the line so I can let them if they don't take down that libel from their blog they're going to have a lawsuit on the their hands "
     "Right away, Ms.Garcia"

  I smiled at his sweet tone, such a good assistant. Crazy. I have an assistant . Anyway back to business
I clicked line two on my office phone and put it one speaker while I shuffled around my office.
   "Hey Shawn, honey? I'm back. I'm going to get on the phone with TMX and make sure they take it down. Don't worry about it anymore, I've got you covered."
     I heard a large sigh of apparent relief over the phone, "You are such a life saver, Drew. I have no idea what I'd do without you!"
I chuckled, "Honestly, I'm glad we don't have to worry bout what you'd do with out me. Now, jus try to stay out of trouble. Can you do that for me babe ? "
In a rushed tone he said , "mhm totally , gotta go. My boo of the week is calling. Thanks again! Kisses!"
And with that he hung up. I let out a heavy sigh, I knew pretty soon I'd have to clean up his mess again but he's to precious to be mad at.
Now that I averted a PR crisis, I sat down in my plush chair behind my desk. It feels good to be productive.
In a year, I managed to get a new job and get promoted to PR manger for my companies top celebrities. Of course with some help from Hayley and her connections.
Speaking of Hayley, I picked up my phone to call her
"Hey Hayley "
"Ooh Drew , you have no idea how amazing it is to hear your voice right now. My manager iS KILLING me right now "
I smiled, she could be so dramatic. Hayley quit her job a while ago,took leap of faith and began her music career. She had lived music since she was young but her parents pressured her into a career more "practical". I'm just happy she's following her dreams."
"Is it about your album again?"
"Yeah, she thinks it's ready to go out. But I don't know. I feel like I need to do 'pretty girls' again."
"Oh god, Hayley that track is literally perfect. It's fine!"
" yeah yeah , you just like that it was dedicated to you"
I blushed, she was kind of right "that's not true! You've worked so hard on for so long it's truly amazing.
"Ugh fine ! I'll give her the okay. I can't believe I'm about to release my debut album. I didn't even expect the single to blow up like that"
" well I'm not surprised, you're extremely talented. I'm glad you stopped singing in the shower and took it to stage "
"Hey! You loved my shower concerts. "
I laughed, " I totally did. Next time you have one of those, let me get on stage with you."
"Oh I like the sound of that. I can do you better though, how about a one on one concert with you in my bed "
I bit my lip, " hmm sounds nice but I think the acoustics would be better in the shower"
She let out a low chuckle, "you're the boss, babe. But don't complain when we get complaints from the neighbors "
I felt a heat in between my legs so I decided to change the topic of conversation, "anyway, I'm thinking sushi tonight. Will you pick me up from work?"
"I wasn't done with this convo, but I guess we'll jus finish it in person.... but yeah I'll pick you up from work"
My face was hot, "I'm hanging up now you tease, see you later Hayley"
I hung up before she could tease me further.
For about 3 months, Hayley and I have had a friends with benefits relationship. She said she was okay with waiting till I was ready to be in a relationship and I do care about her but I don't know if I'm ready to be with anyone right now. Our relationship hasn't changed much, we jus have sex everyday but it's not complicated and after kehlani. I needed less complication.

I finished up at the office and met Hayley at the front.
She got out the car to open the door for me but for I got it gave me a deep kiss that had heat coursing through my body.
When she let me go, I stared at her in shock "What did I do to deserve such a greeting."
"Well other than you looking like a Goddess? I have good news, I'll explain over dinner, get in"
I jus nodded still, shocked .
  When we got to the sushi restaurant , we sat in our regular seats and placed our order.
When the waiter left I turned to Hayley, "So what's the good news? "
  She smiled, "welllll, I told my manager that I was finally ready to release the albums and I guess she had already assumed you would convince me because she already set the release date for this Friday!"
"Oh shit really !! That's such good news. I can't wait."
"That's not it. She's throwing me a release party at this rooftop club and inviting all these celebrities so I can mingle. That being said I can't go without a date..."
"Ooh Hayley... you know how I feel about crowds"
She pouted and gave me her infamous puppy dog eyes, "I know but I'll be with you the whole night and I'll protect you. Drew, please. I wouldn't want to celebrate it with anyone else. Matter fact, if you don't go, I won't go ."
I rolled my eyes at her theatrics, "You can't skip your own party, Hayley "
  "Hmph, watch me "
"Ugh of course I'll go, think I'd leave you to embarrass yourself?"
  "Thank you !!! You didn't really have a choice but thank you for not making me drag you there!"
  I laughed at her , "yeah whatever "
She winked at me, " now hurry up and eat so I show you thankful I am at home"
    She looked at me with a mischievous gleam in her eye, I gulped and called for the water.
  "Um, can I get this to go?"

   I finally updated. How long has it been ? I don't know but it's good to be back. No smut in this chapter soweee
