Pretty Girl

I woke up with a headache and an ache in my heart. The only reminders of what happened last night. I laughed bitterly at myself , reminded back to when I go kicked out from my father's house. The dejavu hurt like a b*tch.  I haven't felt so empty since living with my father, but I guess this is what heartbreak feels like. 

 The thought made me want to cry again so I fell back into bed, ignoring my throbbing head and hid under the covers. I was never going to leave. I'd quit my job through email. I'd never be able to see Kehlani again. She hates me. I hate myself. I bit back the tear that threatened to fall over by biting my lip. I didn't stop till I tasted blood. Good. I deserved it.

A knock at the door startled me from my thoughts, " It's Alex, I'm coming in."

I was just about to protest but she was already inside, "I brought breakfast."

I looked down, "Thanks. You didn't have to."

 I was smart enough not to assume that just because Hayley rescued me, that we were cool. We still haven't actually talked. I wouldn't push her though. 

 "What was I going to do ? Let you starve? You're my bestfriend, I wouldn't do that."

I looked up at her, surprised "I didn't know you still considered me that?"

She sat down by me on the bed, "You'd think I 'd let a girl get between us? I love you to much for that."

Tears welled in my eyes, I was glad to have my bestfriend. I threw myself in her arms and cried, "Oh god, I love you too , Hayley"

 She hated when I called her that but it brought me closer to her in a way. 

She wrapped her arms around me tight and placed a kiss on my forehead, "I love you too, Audrey" [ A/N I'm changing her full name to Audrey bc andreawasanexandit'sjusttoomuch]

After sobbing in her shirt, she began to speak "I knew that girl was trouble"

"You don't even know what happened. It was my fault."

She tilted my  head to look at her, "It was not you fault. I saw what happened. You didn't cheat, I know you. I remember you meeting that other chic that night we went to bar. If you slept with her it doesn't matter because you and Kehlani weren't together then."

"I didn't sleep with her"

Hayley (alex) looked at me and smiled, " I'm glad" 

Under her intense stare, I blushed. Weird. 

She continued sternly after tapping my nose, " Maybe you should have told her? Sorry I eavesdropped. She shouldn't have left you in a parking lot. What if I wasn't there? What then?

Hayley was upset and gradually began to tighten her grip, " Hayley, U-um it hurts."

She loosened her grip, " I'm sorry. I'm just stressed. "

I looked up at her, holding her face in my hands, "You don't need to worry, I'm here and you were there to save me."

She wrapped her arms around my waist and we stayed like that till I noticed our faces inching closer. I stopped before our lips could meet. 

 I looked away, embarrassed. I don't even know what is happening with Kehlani and I, and I'm already trying to rebound with my best friend.  

"I should eat that breakfast now"

She rubbed her neck, looking as embarrassed as me, " Yeah, you should. I'll go. "

I stopped her, "You don't have to leave."

"I'm not leaving. I'm just waiting. I'm going to wait for you"

Her words sounded like they had double meaning, but I was too tired to decode what they meant so I just nodded. 

She gave me a peck on the cheek before leaving. 

Hayley warmed my heart, but I still wasn't over Kehlani. I should see her. See if we could fix this. We should still be able to fix this. I loved her and I knew she loved me. Right?

Way shorter than my last chapter but I hope you like!!!! I got a new computer so I hope I can update more often. Thanks for not hating me!!

  I start school in 3 weeks and have 2 books report to write before then yuckkk/ It's a new school so I'm super nervous! Hopefully there will be a lot of cute girls lollll but till then #single4lyfe
