Phil and I got back to the clubhouse with some of my things before Happy arrived. When we spoke on the phone, he said he'd be another hour or two before he got back which was fine. I figured I could ask Gemma if she knew of any places nearby that were hiring. Happy always made it clear while we were together that he was the bread winner, but I don't do well with idle hands.

So, even while we were separated what money I didn't spend, I sent to Maria and Rose. Happy's aunt and mother. The money I sent her went toward her hospice care, medication and food. She told me once Happy was catching on to the fact that someone was paying her bills, but she made sure he didn't find out it was me. I'm not sure how he would react if he knew I was paying for a lot of her needs. I know how expensive her things are and I know at times Happy was scraping by, by the skin of his teeth. I never wanted to see him struggling.

I decided a quick call to them was in order. I dialed the familiar number and waited for one of them to answer. "Hello?" Rose's voice floated through to me.

"Bonjour Mama." I replied smiling.

"Mija! Oh, how are you my girl?!" She asked happily.

"I'm well Mama. How are you? The money I've been sending helping out still?" I asked her.

"Yes dear. About that..." She trailed off.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Happy knows dear. He called me to check in this morning about twenty minutes ago and my new worker accidentally let it slip who was paying off my bills." She told me.

"Oh..." I replied nervously.

"Yes, I don't know how he took it as he hung up before I could speak with him." She explained.

"I guess I'll find out soon enough." I admitted.

"How so Mija?" She asked confused.

"Happy and I have... reconnected Mama. I've been with him since yesterday afternoon." I told her happily.

I heard a happy scream before she called for Maria. I listened as she excitedly told Maria that Happy and I were back together. I let out a happy laugh as they squealed together. "Oh Mija! You two have to come up this weekend and see me!" Rose told me.

"We'll try Mama. Oh! Shit, Happy's here." I said quietly as Happy slammed open the door of the clubhouse his dark eyes glaring right at me.

"Uh oh. I love you Mija, hopefully he cools off easily." She spoke carefully.

"Hopefully. I love you too Mama. I'll call you later okay?" I told her stalling as Happy strode toward me and stood waiting.

"Okay Mija. Goodbye."

"Goodbye Ma." I said ending the call I placed my phone on the table and folded my hands.

Both of us were silent as my eyes met his. A dark storm raging through his as he attempted to sort out his thoughts. I knew Happy would never hurt me physically, so I was unafraid. "Happy..." I started.

"How could you?" He demanded. "It's not your fucking job Callie!" He yelled ferociously.

"Happy..." I said again calmly. "Mom told me you were struggling. I wasn't about to let that happen. You know I love Maria and Rose; I was not about to sit idly by while the three of you barely scraped by." I told him firmly.

By now a crowd had gathered waiting to see what would transpire between us. Most of them did not know me, so they probably weren't sure how this was going to end. Happy would be pissed at first, he'd yell and scream but soon enough he'd calm down, realize I was right and that would be that. I only know this because the last time this happened was when I paid our Hydro bill. Things with the club were slow so we weren't making any money and falling behind on bills. I took it upon myself to pay one measly bill and it was world war three with him. Happy did not like having to look to others for help...

"You should have fucking told me Callie." He growled slamming his hands down on the table I was seated at.

I leaned forward getting about and inch from his face. "So, you could throw a temper tantrum like a two-year-old?" I asked skeptically. "What's done is done Happy. I don't plan on stopping either. We are married, part of that is learning to share responsibilities."

"How was I supposed to learn anything when you took off two years in?!" He snarled.

I let out a sarcastic snot of a laugh. "I left because my husband couldn't stop himself from sticking his dick where it didn't belong." I said in a sickly sweet tone, getting rather angry myself.

Happy's face hardened further as the toothpick he was swirling snapped under the pressure of his clenched jaw. "Now. You let me know when you're done with your little fit and we can talk again." I told him leaning back in my chair.

This whole time my eyes never left his and I knew it was his weakness was to keep eye contact with him even if he was pissed with you. He would be the first to break it. As if on cue his eyes left mine and he stormed down to the dorms and I sighed shaking my head.

"You okay darlin'?" Jax asked me.

"Oh yeah. I'll go down there in a couple minutes and we'll be fine. He won't admit he's wrong in front of all of you." I told him.

Jax nodded and walked away as Kozik approached me. "He's really pissed Cal. His mom and aunt are his responsibility not yours baby." He told me softly.

"No. They are mine too. We are married making them my in-laws which makes them my family. I take care of my family." I told him.

Kozik nodded and I stood up taking a deep breath I headed to Happy's dorm. I opened up the door and Happy sat on the end of his bed holding a photograph between his finger that looked like it hand been through the ringer.

I sat down beside him and saw it was a photo from our wedding day of all four of along with Koz. "I'm sorry mon amour. I should have told you I was helping. I just never want to see you three struggling. I love the three of you far too much for that and all the money wasn't helping me." I told him gently laying my head on his shoulder.

Happy sighed and nodded before laying his head on mine. "I know Cal. I shouldn't have gotten so angry. You were just being you and a good wife." He sighed pulling his cut open and stuffing the photo back into the inside pocket.

He wrapped his arms around me and lifted me up to straddle his waist. "We good now mon amour?" I asked him, smiling softly.

"We're good baby girl." He replied before pressing his lips to mine.
