"Easy Callie..." Happy urged as she slid out of the truck carefully.
"Veuillez détendre mon amour." Callie whispered, smiling softly at her husband. (Please relax my love.)
Happy ignored her, having no idea what she had said anyways and lifted her into his arms. Happy carried Callie into the house and set her gently on the couch. "Stay Callie." He told her firmly.
She saluted him. "Aye aye captain." She said giggling.
Happy rolled his eyes at his wife and went out get her bags. Maria entered the room with James in her arms before setting the sleeping baby in his bouncy chair. Rose followed shortly behind carrying a crying Améile. Callie held out her arms for the baby girl and Rose handed her over carefully. Callie adjusted carefully and held the small girl to her chest looking down at her as she calmed down.
Happy came back in with the bags just leaving them by the door, looking in he saw Callie looking down between their son and their daughter and Happy felt peace. A peace he had long since missed. His wife was alive and okay and his twins were healthy and happy. That is more than he could ever ask for.
Rose smiled watching her son watch his wife before tugging his arm telling him to come with her to the kitchen. "You okay Mijo?" Rose asked her son.
Happy sighed. "I am now Ma." He replied.
"Good. You've done good son. Making things right." Rose told her son.
Happy nodded and leaned over kissing his mother's cheek only to hear Callie's soft voice from the living room.
"Goodnight my angel,
time to close your eyes
and save these questions for another day,
I think I know what you've been asking me,
I think you know what I've been trying to say.
I promise I would never leave you
and you should know, I never will be far away..." Callie sang as Améile began to calm in her arms.Happy and Rose stepped out to watch them together and Happy felt a smile begin to cross his face. Happy felt the love his wife emitted and knew he was where he wanted to be in life.
His wife's beautiful voice rang out again as she launched into the next part of the song. "Goodnight my angel, now it's time to sleep
and still so many things I want to say,
remember all the songs you sang for me,
when we went sailing on an emerald bay,
and like a boat out on the ocean,
i'm rocking you to sleep,
the water's dark and deep inside this mother's heart,
you'll always be a part of me..."Rose was grinning widely now watching her daughter in-law with her babies and she sang to them. Her voice was soft and calming making Happy even feel drowsy but he couldn't tear his eyes away.
" Goodnight my angel, now it's time to dream,
and dream how wonderful your life will be,
someday a child may cry and if you sing this lullaby,
then in your heart there will always be a part of me." She finished the song and Happy strode forward to take the now sleeping infant from his wife's arms and lay her in her chair beside her brother."You're an amazing Mama little girl." Happy told her leaning in to taste her lips.
"And you are an amazing Daddy." Callie told him smiling widely. "Now I think I'm gonna have a nap before dinner." She laughed.
"Want me to help you to bed?" Rose offered.
"No thank you Ma. I'm just gonna sleep here close to the babies." Callie told her snuggling down into the couch so she could lay comfortably.
Happy laid a kiss to her forehead and left the room as his wife drifted off to sleep. "I gotta run down to the club and discuss some shit before dinner Ma. If Cal wakes up just call me." Happy kissed his mothers cheek and strode out the door to his bike.
The ride to the clubhouse was short and when he arrived all the guys were already there. "How's Cal?" Jax asked.
"Happy to be home." Happy replied.
Everyone who heard nodded in understanding, no one really enjoyed being cooped up in a hospital bed. The guys made their way into church to discuss some business and that's why Happy missed his phone ringing. When he got his phone back he immediately dialed back incase something was wrong.
"Cal? You okay? The babies?" Happy demanded as soon as she answered.
"Relax mon amour, we are fine. Ma wants me to ask if you'll grab a bag of flour on your way home. Apparently she wants to bake." Callie laughed.
"Yeah I can." He replied sighing in relief.
"Thank you mon amour." She said sweetly.
"I'll be home soon." Hap told her gently.
"Okay. Just be safe." Callie replied.
Hap promised her that he would before they said their goodbyes and hung up. Happy went to leave when he was caught by Gemma. "How's she doing really?" Gem asked.
"She's okay. Happy to be home." Happy told her.
"Okay sweetheart. I'm gonna pop by tomorrow and check on you guys and visit with Callie." Gemma told him.
"She'd like that." Happy nodded.
Happy said his goodbyes and headed to the grocery store before heading home. When he arrived home everyone was already at the table and Maria was just about to serve dinner. Happy looked around for the kids but presumed they'd been put in bed.
He sat down beside his wife and leaned over to press a kiss to her cheek. Maria set a plate in front of him and one in front of Callie before bringing hers and Rose's. They ate together chatting and smiling as laughs were shared an new memories made.
Finally it was time for bed. Happy lifted Callie carefully from where she sat on the couch and carried her down to the bedroom before setting her on her feet. They changed quietly as not to wake the babies sleeping in the next room, before crawling into bed.
Happy pulled his wife into his arms careful of her ribs. before turning her face toward him. "Love you Cal." Happy told her, pressing a gentle kiss to her lips.
"Love you too mon amour." She smiled.
