Sat on the couch, watching a movie, she laid with her head on her boyfriend's chest, when the phone broke the moment, looking up at the clock she noticed it was already ten in the evening, so she wondered who'd be calling her at this time.
"Yes," Amelia answered the call of her grandfather.
"I know you said that they couldn't come over, but otherwise they'll have to drive an hour to go to bed. Can they at least come and sleep at ours?" her grandfather asked his granddaughter with a calm tone. Now he understood Laure and Maksim's problem as well as well as he'd done Amelia and Alex's before. And since he'd been the one who kept things in the middle, he suggested to make the call to Amelia, knowing it would be better received if it came from him instead of anyone else.
Turning to Alex, she explained it to him as she held the phone to her chest.
"We can finish the movie in your room," he suggested with a smile on his face as she nodded her head at him in confirmation and she'd be more comfortable there as well. Her arm had been allowed out of the cast but was still weak and her ribs would still need some time to fully heal which currently bothered her the most.
"Fine, we'll finish the movie in our room," she explained to her grandfather as she let out a deep sigh and she wanted to argue more but didn't.
"Fine, we'll leave in ten minutes," he told her, finishing the call as Alex and Amelia got ready for bed. They were just in their room by the time they heard two cars arriving at her grandparent's place and they were already settled in.
They could hear them come in.
"You want to go and say hello?" Alex asked, looking down at his girlfriend, the ball was in her park when it came to this. He wasn't very happy with this situation either, but he didn't want to be seen as a jerk either. And he knew that Amelia wouldn't want to be seen as one either, but he also knew how stubborn she could be.
"No, not tonight," she told him, looking up from where she lay with her head on his chest, finally having found a comfortable spot to lay in.
For the remainder of the weekend, they didn't meet Maksim or Laure. They were always gone, which was just fine by Amelia.
She knew that she'd have to meet him sooner or later since her sister basically lived here at her grandparents as well. And the evenings that he came, she found an excuse to be in her room, working for school which wasn't that made up after all, trying to make up for the lost time on her paper and writing in order to forget what had happened. She'd figured out that if she wrote a little bit before bed, the nightmares wouldn't be as worse.
Now that she had anti-anxiety medication, the nightmares were less as well, but it was the combination of them both, writing and medication. She hadn't wanted to meet anyone here in Belgium to talk about it, so Tim was going to put her in touch with someone that she could trust and didn't have anything to do with Belgium.

"Hey Love." she grinned as she walked into the lobby where Alex was waiting on her. She'd been allowed to leave earlier from school today, something she was all too happy about if it meant that she got to spend it with Alex. And a weekend of Vienna with her boyfriend, well it didn't get much better than that. Away from all the drama that was happening in her own family at this point.
"Hey sweetheart." he grinned, opening his arms as she wrapped her own arms around his waist, resting her head on his chest.
"I missed you," she whispered, looking up, cupping his cheek in her hand as she stood on her toes.
